In about twenty kilometres of Sarlat and some steps of Lascaux, Saint-Amand-de-Coly comfortably settled down between two wooded dales. Its abbey church of the XIIth century, considered as the most beautiful church strengthened by Périgord, stays up the houses of the village which, just like her, are made of this stone Sarladaise and of this lauzes typical of the region in a harmonious contrast of ochre and grey tones.
