About the venue
In the XVIIIth century, the marquess Louis-Charles of Gouffier dedicates a lot of his fortune to be restored and to transform the old medieval castle to make a residential castle in the style of the century, with a garden, a park and a big(great) channel(canal). The manorial farm is also concerned by these works which require travel(movement) and reconstruction of a part(party) of the village, including parsonage. After the death of the marquess of Gouffier, Adelaide, her only child become of countess of Choiseul-Gouffier, pursues works by the reconstruction of the parish church between 1778 and 1784\. In spite of the dismantling of the domain in the middle of the XIXth century s., vestiges are still important.
