Projection of the documentary "Investigation into the tomb of the last Celtic prince".
Directed by Marion Marot, co-produced by Gédéon programmes, Arte France, inrap.
In 2014, on the plain of Lavau (Aube), a vast Celtic funeral complex was uncovered. It notably includes a princely burial chamber in an exceptional state of preservation, built around the year 450 BC. The deceased, adorned with sumptuous jewels, was placed on a two-wheeled chariot, with pieces of gold dishes and argnet at his side. Who was that high dignitary whose funeral was a major event?
In this extraordinary scientific investigation, the archaeologists of Inrap, assisted by specialists from the Cnetre de recherche et de restauration des musées de france, decipher step by step the enigmas of the tomb and walk to meet the last of the Celtic princes identified to date. Thus emerge new hypotheses and details about the society that was his.
