On Monday, November 24, 2025 at 4:00 PM, the Espace culture of the Cité scientifique campus in Villeneuve d'Ascq hosts the conference Autour de l'œuvre Aging by Dennis Oppenheim, presented by Nathalie Delbard, director of the CEAC, and Géraldine Sfez, lecturer in film studies at the University of Lille. The work Aging by Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011) presents a series of human silhouettes in paraffin that deform under heat, questioning the perception of time, the degradation of the body and anticipating current climate issues. This conference highlights the dialogue between performance, installation and contemporary research on the disappearance and transformation of the human figure

Le lundi 24 novembre 2025 à 16h00, l’Espace culture du campus Cité scientifique à Villeneuve d’Ascq accueille la conférence Autour de l’œuvre Aging de Dennis Oppenheim, présentée par Nathalie Delbard, directrice du CEAC, et Géraldine Sfez, maîtresse de conférences en études cinématographiques à l’Université de Lille. L’œuvre Aging de Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011) expose une série de silhouettes humaines en paraffine qui se déforment sous la chaleur, interrogeant la perception du temps, la dégradation du corps et anticipant les enjeux climatiques actuels. Cette conférence met en lumière le dialogue entre la performance, l’installation et les recherches contemporaines sur la disparition et la transformation de la figure humaine

Op maandag 24 november 2025 om 16:00 uur organiseert de Espace cultuur van de Cité scientifique campus in Villeneuve d'Ascq de conferentie Autour de l'œuvre Aging van Dennis Oppenheim, gepresenteerd door Nathalie Delbard, directeur van de CEAC, en Géraldine Sfez, docent filmstudies aan de Universiteit van Lille. Het werk Aging by Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011) presenteert een reeks menselijke silhouetten in paraffine die vervormen onder hitte, waarbij de perceptie van tijd, de degradatie van het lichaam in twijfel worden getrokken en wordt geanticipeerd op actuele klimaatproblemen. Deze conferentie belicht de dialoog tussen performance, installatie en hedendaags onderzoek naar de verdwijning en transformatie van de menselijke figuur
