Iván is a down-to-earth young man with innate charm, for whom his trans identity is not an issue. He works on the sorting line at a tomato-packing plant near Almería, nestled between the arid lands and the sea breezes of southern Spain. There, he begins a romantic relationship with Hadoum, a young Spanish-Moroccan woman, until economic and family circumstances stand in their way.
In this arid landscape (which has served as the backdrop for numerous American Westerns), a queer romantic relationship blossoms, imbued with tenderness, physicality, and a seductive naturalness. Directed by a trans filmmaker and powerfully performed, this uninhibited and romantic debut feature offers a promising vision of a queer future.

Iván est un jeune homme simple, au charme inné, dont l’identité trans n’est pas un enjeu. Il travaille à la chaîne de tri dans une usine de conditionnement de tomates, près d’Almeria, entre les terres arides et les brises maritimes du Sud espagnol. Là, il développe une idylle amoureuse avec Hadoum, jeune femme hispano-marocaine, jusqu’à ce que les circonstances économiques et familiales ne viennent jouer les obstacles.
Dans ce paysage sec (qui se prêta au décor à de nombreux westerns étasuniens) fleurit une relation amoureuse queer, emprunte de douceur, de corporalité et d’un naturel séduisant. Réalisé par un cinéaste trans et interprété avec puissance, une première fiction impudique et romantique, dans un récit prometteur d’un futur queer.
