Pianist Viva Sanchez Reinoso is set to release her first solo piano album, dedicated to the music of J.S. Bach and Keith Jarrett, in a double CD that also features her own composition, Eclipse. After two years of meticulous work with a team of outstanding professionals, she is delighted to invite the public to the launch concert, which will take place at Athénée 4 on the very piano on which she recorded her album.
*From Bach to Keith Jarrett* juxtaposes several works by J.S. Bach with excerpts from solo concerts given by Keith Jarrett throughout his career. Keith Jarrett’s musical language was strongly influenced by Bach’s polyphonic music, which he performed and recorded on the piano and harpsichord. The programme includes several of these pieces, as well as an original composition by Viva Sanchez, which builds a musical trance by repeating the same notes, working with natural harmonics and altering the instrument’s timbre through acoustic distortion.

La pianiste Viva Sanchez Reinoso sortira son premier album de piano solo, dédié aux musiques de J.S. Bach et Keith Jarrett dans un double CD qui présente également sa composition personnelle Eclipse. Après deux ans de travail minutieux avec une équipe de professionnels formidables, elle aura la joie de convier le public au concert-vernissage qui aura lieu à l’Athénée 4, sur le piano sur lequel elle a enregistré son album.
De Bach à Keith Jarrett met en miroir plusieurs œuvres de J.S. Bach avec des extraits de concerts en solo donnés par Keith Jarrett tout au long de sa vie. Le langage de Keith Jarrett a été fortement influencé par la musique polyphonique de Bach, qu'il a interprétée et enregistrée au piano et au clavecin. Le programme comprend plusieurs de leurs pièces, ainsi qu'une composition personnelle de Viva Sanchez, qui développe la transe musicale en répétant les mêmes notes et en travaillant sur les harmoniques naturelles et en faisant évoluer le timbre de l'instrument par la distorsion acoustique.
