Der Verein „Niedermeyer Nyon“ ehrt Edouard Garo mit einem Konzert in der Kirche von Nyon am 8. November um 17 Uhr. Der Musikwissenschaftler, Chorleiter und Pädagoge Ed. Garo, der 2025 im Alter von 91 Jahren verstorben ist, widmete sein Leben der Musik und prägte das kulturelle Leben in Nyon nachhaltig. Zwei Ensembles, der Chor „Evohé“ und die „Maîtrise“ des Conservatoire populaire de Genève, unter der Leitung von Fruzsina Szuromi und Magali Dami, werden Werke von Niedermeyer, Kodály, Frank Martin, Arvo Pärt u. a. aufführen. An der Orgel: Humberto Salvagnin.

The Niedermeyer Nyon Association is paying tribute to Edouard Garo by organising a concert at the Nyon Temple on 8 November at 5.00 pm. A musicologist, choir director and teacher, Ed. Garo, who passed away in 2025 at the age of 91, devoted his life to music and had a profound influence on cultural life in Nyon. Two ensembles, the Evohé choir and the Maîtrise du Conservatoire Populaire de Genève, conducted by Fruzsina Szuromi and Magali Dami, will perform works by Niedermeyer, Kodály, Frank Martin, Arvo Pärt and others. Humberto Salvagnin will be at the organ.

L'association Niedermeyer Nyon rend hommage à Edouard Garo en organisant un concert au temple de Nyon, le 8 novembre à 17h. Musicologue, chef de choeurs, pédagogue, Ed. Garo, décédé à 91 ans en 2025, a consacré sa vie à la musique et il a profondément marqué la vie culturelle nyonnaise. Deux formations, le choeur Evohé et la Maîtrise du conservatoire populaire de Genève, sous la direction de Fruzsina Szuromi et Magali Dami, interpréteront des oeuvres de Niedermeyer, Kodaly, Frank Martin, Arvo Pärt, etc. A l'orgue, Humberto Salvagnin.
