Anne Sylvestre has often been reduced to her fairy tales, her children's songs. Yet, she is one of the greatest singer-songwriters of the 20th century. A pen and a voice that tell stories of love, wars, couples, women, lives like ours. This creation, blending previously unpublished texts and the composer's songs, is as much a slap in the face as an outstretched hand, shaking and reconciling, sparkling with humor and humanity.
In a small bookstore with a bar and piano, three women learn of Anne Sylvestre's death. They each recall their own Anne, their encounter, their experience, their lives turned upside down by one of her melodies. They talk about her by talking about themselves—or perhaps it's the other way around: these life stories, whether conventional or unconventional, point to the essential connections between people. A man at the piano listens and accompanies them, in a musical frenzy combining acting and voice.
The company, founded in 2017, is dedicated to multidisciplinary creation and a theater of connection. Following Femmes parallèles (Parallel Women), presented at La Julienne in 2023, this latest project, centered on Anne Sylvestre, is the fifth installment in a cycle about women fighters and rebels.

On a souvent réduit Anne Sylvestre à ses fabulettes, ses chansons pour enfants. Pourtant, elle est une des plus grandes autrices compositrices interprètes du 20e siècle. Une plume et une voix conteuse d’histoires d’amour, de guerres, de couples, de femmes, de vies comme les nôtres. Cette création mêlant textes inédits et chansons de la compositrice est une claque autant qu’une main tendue, qui secoue et réconcilie, pétillante d’humour et d’humanité.
Dans une petite librairie avec bar et piano, trois femmes apprennent la mort d’Anne Sylvestre. Elles évoquent chacune leur Anne, leur rencontre, leur expérience, leur vie bouleversée par une de ses mélodies. Elles parlent d’elle en parlant d’elles – à moins que ce ne soit l’inverse : ces histoires de vies, conventionnelles ou hors normes, pointent vers l’essentiel des liens entre les gens. Un homme, au piano, les écoute et les accompagne, dans une ivresse musicale mêlant jeu et voix.
La compagnie, fondée en 2017, se consacre à la création pluridisciplinaire et à un théâtre du lien. Après Femmes parallèles présenté à La julienne en 2023, ce dernier projet, centré sur Anne Sylvestre, est le cinquième volet d’un cycle sur les femmes battantes et insoumises.
