The famous Café Zimmermann ensemble is coming to Geneva for the first time to present the subject of its latest disc released by Alpha.
An imaginary notebook... or the principle of a music book in which composers wrote down the pieces dear to their hearts, the object of transformations, experiments and transcriptions.
Gospel without words, this programme presents itself as a sort of legacy of Bach's infinitely creative spirit, adapting several cantata arias for this small ensemble where the flute takes on the role of singer, where the harpsichord condenses the strings...
He also contrasts a trio sonata composed in 1747 by Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach with the famous trio sonata of the Musical Offering written the same year by his father Jean-Sebastien.
This programme, which was successfully released by Alpha in 2021, ends with the famous chorale Vor deinen Thron tret'ich hiermit, apparently composed on his deathbed, a chorale that opens onto the infinite and the return of man to his true divine nature...

Le célèbre ensemble Café Zimmermann vient pour la première à Genève présenter l'objet de son dernier disque paru chez Alpha.
Un Cahier imaginaire… ou le principe d’un livre de musique dans lequel les compositeurs consignaient les pièces chères à leur cœur, objet de transformations, d’expérimentations, de transcriptions.
Evangile sans paroles, ce programme se présente comme une sorte d’héritage de l’esprit infiniment créatif de Bach, adaptant plusieurs airs de cantates pour ce petit effectif où la flûte prend le rôle du chanteur, où le clavecin condense les cordes…
Il met aussi en regard une sonate en trio composée en 1747 par Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach avec la célèbre sonate en trio de l’Offrande Musicale écrite la même année par son père Jean-Sebastien.
Ce programme, accueilli avec succès lors de sa parution chez Alpha en 2021, se termine par le fameux choral Vor deinen Thron tret’ich hiermit, composé semble-t-il sur son lit de mort, choral qui ouvre sur l’infini et le retour de l’homme à sa vraie nature divine…
