Under the baton of Bertrand de Billy, the OSR celebrates French and Czech repertoire. Bridging Romanticism and the first stirrings of the twentieth century, this programme invites audiences to discover a selection of refined and captivating works.
The evening opens with Callirhoë by Cécile Chaminade, a major figure in French music whose work remains too rarely performed. Alexandra Conunova then takes the stage in Saint-Saëns’s Violin Concerto No. 3, a score full of grace and unmistakable French elegance. After the interval, Bertrand de Billy conducts Josef Suk’s Pohádka (A Fairy Tale) for the first time with the OSR. Inspired by a fairy tale by the poet Julius Zeyer, this enchanting work unfolds a passionate love story shaped by dreams, magic and destiny.

Sous la direction de Bertrand de Billy, l’OSR, met à l’honneur le répertoire français et tchèque. Entre romantisme et premières impulsions du XXe siècle, partez à la découverte d’œuvres raffinées et captivantes.
La soirée s’ouvre avec Callirhoë de Cécile Chaminade, figure majeure, mais trop peu connue, de la musique française. Alexandra Conunova interprète ensuite le Concerto pour violon N° 3 de Saint-Saëns, partition pleine de grâce et d’élégance à la française. En seconde partie, Bertrand de Billy présente pour la première fois avec l’OSR Pohádka (Conte de fées) de Josef Suk, une œuvre envoûtante inspirée d’un conte du poète Julius Zeyer, où se déploie une histoire d’amour passionnée entre rêve, magie et destin.
Entre rêverie et poésie, ce concert révèle toute la richesse d’un répertoire à (re)découvrir.
