A breath of fresh air: Reda Saiarh on the decks

Are you afraid of the heatwave? A musical breeze is blowing through MEG this summer so you can relax and cool off to the music.
The MEG garden is alive with music this summer. The MEG is once again inviting various artists who have collaborated in the past on the Réveil des Archives sonores, a project to enhance the Museum's collection of over 5,000 vinyl LPs.
This time, they're taking us into their musical world by sharing records from their own personal collections. A garden, sun, deckchairs and music to relax, have a drink, dance and enjoy.

In 2018, Reda launched a radio station dedicated to the local scene and toured a number of renowned festivals including the Montreux Jazz Festival, Eurosonic, Transmusicales and Paléo with his former duo "Ramin & Reda". His project kicks off in 2021 with his debut album 'Let's dance', to be released on Dutch label Afrobotic Musicology, expressing his proto-groove and new beat inspirations (a dedication to his cat, too).Reda then appears on various platforms, including Why People Dance with his track 'Put the coconut down' and recently 'Human Endeavour', a sub-label of Ransom Note run by Rosie Cain. In mid-2022, the producer and DJ began a new chapter as co-founder and programmer of the Canal 54 cultural café in Geneva. In February 2023, he released a full-length EP, 'Comfort Zone', featuring five varied tracks reflecting his passionate creation, transcending genres and cultures.Finally, Reda also produces his own events in collaboration with local clubs: 'Press Start' and shares the stage with Romain Fx and Kiara Scuro, among others.
Open to the public. Outside, in the MEG garden. Free event.
In case of rain or bad weather, the DJ-set will take place indoors.
The MEG Café will remain open until 8pm for the occasion.
The event is open to non-French speakers.

Vous craignez la canicule et la chaleur épuisante? Un vent de fraîcheur musical souffle cet été sur le MEG afin de pouvoir vous détendre et vous rafraîchir en musique.
Le jardin du MEG bouge au rythme de la musique durant l'été. Le MEG convie à nouveau différents artistes qui ont collaboré par le passé au Réveil des Archives sonores, projet de valorisation d'un fonds du Musée de plus de 5000 vinyls LPs.
Cette fois-ci, ils nous emmènent dans leur monde musical en partageant des disques de leur propre collection personnelle. Un jardin, du soleil, des transats et de la musique pour se relaxer, boire un verre, danser et profiter comme il se doit.

C’est en 2018 que Reda se lance en chef de meute d’une radio dédiée à la scène locale et parcourt plusieurs festivals de renommés tels que le Montreux Jazz Festival, Eurosonic, Transmusicales ou encore Paléo avec son ancien duo «Ramin & Reda ».
Son projet démarre en 2021 avec son premier disque « Let’s dance » qui sortira sur le label hollandais Afrobotic Musicology, exprimant ses inspirations issues du proto-groove et du new beat. (une dédicace à son chat aussi).
Par le suite, Reda apparaît sur différentes plateformes telles que Why People Dance avec son titre « Put the coconut down » et récemment « Human Endeavour », un sous-label de Ransom Note dirigé par Rosie Cain. Cette dernière lui a confié un titre, « Kiki », pour sa compilation « Trains of Thought« , un honneur pour lui.
En milieu d’année 2022, le producteur et Dj démarre un nouveau chapitre en qualité de cofondateur et programmateur du café culturel Canal 54 à Genève.
En février 2023, il signe un EP complet « Comfort Zone » composé de cinq titres variés et reflétant sa création passionnée, transcendant les genres et les cultures.
Enfin, Reda produit également ses évènements en collaboration avec les clubs de sa ville: « Press Start » et partage la scène avec Romain Fx et Kiara Scuro notamment.
Ouvert au public. En extérieur, dans le Jardin du MEG. Événement gratuit.
En cas de pluie ou de mauvais temps, le DJ-set aura lieu à l'intérieur.
Le Café du MEG restera ouvert jusqu'à 20h pour l'occasion.
Activité accessible à un public non francophone.
