“Brass Business”
22 daring musicians reinvent the Big Band theory under the baton of Xavier Van Rechem. Binary, ternary, no matter the rhythm, as long as you have the swing. "This thing that moves forward," as their leader says.
While other bands are content to «revisit» the standards, the JFC Big Band explodes them. For them, jazz is a real chase where Randy Brecker, Bob Mintzer and Earth, Wind & Fire never stop running in the rearview mirror.
In keeping with their history, the JFC Big Band is about to celebrate a half-century of musical audacity and unbridled swing.
