Sébastien Valignat has made the democratic question his obsession. After The art of always being right – a simple and infallible way to win an election, he returns with a creation fueled by political hot topics. Since 2010, the troupe has combined humanities and the work of political scientists and historians to compose a rigorous and lively theatre. In five chapters, the play goes back – always with humor – the thread of our democratic history, from the Revolution to today. Between historical references and concrete situations, it also raises a more intimate question: how can one get so angry when speaking about politics with someone who shares the same ideas? A documented and committed comedy, which encourages you to remain an alert citizen.

Sébastien Valignat a fait de la question démocratique son obsession. Après L’art d’avoir toujours raison – méthode simple et infaillible pour remporter une élection, il revient avec une création nourrie par une actualité politique brûlante. Depuis 2010, la troupe croise sciences humaines, travaux de politistes et d’historiens pour composer un théâtre rigoureux et vivant. En cinq chapitres, la pièce remonte – toujours avec humour - le fil de notre histoire démocratique, de la Révolution à aujourd’hui. Entre repères historiques et situations concrètes, elle pose aussi une question plus intime : comment peut-on se fâcher si fort en parlant politique avec quelqu’un qui partage pourtant les mêmes idées ? Une comédie documentée et engagée, qui incite à rester un citoyen en éveil.

Sébastien Valignat maakte de democratische vraag tot zijn obsessie. Na de kunst om altijd gelijk te hebben – een eenvoudige en onfeilbare methode om een verkiezing te winnen, keert hij terug met een schepping gevoed door brandend politiek nieuws. Sinds 2010 snijdt de groep menswetenschappen, het werk van politieke wetenschappers en historici om een rigoureus en levendig theater samen te stellen. In vijf hoofdstukken gaat het stuk terug – altijd met humor – de rode draad van onze democratische geschiedenis, van de Revolutie tot vandaag. Tussen historische ijkpunten en concrete situaties stelt ze ook een meer intieme vraag: Hoe kunnen we zo boos worden als we politiek praten met iemand die toch dezelfde ideeën deelt? Een gedocumenteerde en geëngageerde komedie, die ons aanmoedigt om een wakker burger te blijven.
