Der Wald, ein bedrohtes Erbe:
Die Bedeutung von Bäumen und Wald ist heute allgemein anerkannt. Der Wald spielt, wo immer er sich befindet, eine grundlegende Rolle für das Gleichgewicht der Ökosysteme, insbesondere der Menschen. Wir haben den Wald nicht von unseren Vorfahren geerbt, sondern von unseren Kindern. Während das Verhältnis des Menschen zu Baum und Wald in Frankreich noch nie so stark war, ist der Wald in der Welt ernsthaft bedroht. Entwaldung, globale Erwärmung, Zusammenbruch der biologischen Vielfalt... Die Erkenntnis erfordert ein besseres Verständnis der Herausforderungen, um, wenn möglich, das lebendige Erbe des Waldes zu schützen. Jean Touyarou, Sprecher, wird die verschiedenen Arten von Wäldern auf der ganzen Welt vorstellen und den sehr vielfältigen französischen Wald detailliert beschreiben. Er wird das Leben, das dort herrscht, mit seinen Tausenden von Tier- und Pflanzenarten, die oft miteinander konkurrieren und sich manchmal gegenseitig helfen, sowie die Glanzzeiten und Prüfungen, denen der Wald ausgesetzt war, angehen. Die Konferenz wird vom Rathaus von Meillon und Jean Touyarou vom Verein der Freunde des Museums von Ossau organisiert und wird von einer Debatte gefolgt.

The forest, a threatened heritage:
The importance of trees and the forest is now unanimously recognized. Wherever it is located, the forest plays a fundamental role in the balance of ecosystems, and in particular in that of human beings. We did not inherit the forest from our ancestors, we borrowed it from our children. While the relationship of man to the tree and the forest has never been stronger in France, the forest in the world is seriously threatened. Deforestation, global warming, the collapse of biodiversity... awareness requires a better understanding of the issues in order, if it is still possible, to protect the living heritage that is the forest. Jean Touyarou, speaker, will present the different types of forests encountered in the world and detail the very diverse French forest. He will approach the life that reigns there with its thousands of animal and plant species that often compete and sometimes help each other, as well as the periods of splendour and trials that the forest has faced. The conference is organized by the mayor of Meillon and Jean Touyarou of the association of friends of the museum of Ossau and will be followed by a debate.

L'importanza degli alberi e della foresta è oggi universalmente riconosciuta. Ovunque si trovi, la foresta riveste un ruolo fondamentale nell'equilibrio degli ecosistemi, in particolare in quello degli esseri umani. Non abbiamo ereditato la foresta dai nostri antenati, l'abbiamo presa in prestito dai nostri figli. Mentre il rapporto dell'uomo con l'albero e la foresta non è mai stato così forte in Francia, la foresta nel mondo è gravemente minacciata. Deforestazione, riscaldamento climatico, crollo della biodiversità... la presa di coscienza passa attraverso una migliore conoscenza delle poste in gioco per, se è ancora possibile, proteggere questo patrimonio vivente che è la foresta. Jean Touyarou, relatore, presenterà i diversi tipi di foreste incontrati nel mondo e spiegherà la foresta francese molto diversificata. Affronterà la vita che vi regna con le sue migliaia di specie animali e vegetali che spesso competono e talvolta si aiutano a vicenda, così come i periodi fasti e le prove che la foresta ha affrontato. La conferenza è organizzata dal comune di Meillon e Jean Touyarou dell'associazione degli amici del museo di Ossau e sarà seguita da un dibattito.

La forêt, un patrimoine menacé :
L'importance des arbres et de la forêt est aujourd'hui unanimement reconnue. Quel que soit l'endroit où elle se trouve, la forêt revêt un rôle fondamental dans l'équilibre des écosystèmes, et notamment dans celui des êtres humains. Nous n'avons pas hérité de la forêt de nos ancêtres, nous l'avons empruntée à nos enfants. Alors que le rapport de l'homme face à l'arbre et à la forêt n'a jamais été aussi fort en France, la forêt dans le monde est gravement menacée.
Déforestation, réchauffement climatique, effondrement de la biodiversité... la prise de conscience passe par une meilleure connaissance des enjeux afin, si c'est encore possible, de protéger ce patrimoine vivant qu'est la forêt.
Jean Touyarou, conférencier, présentera les différents types de forêts rencontrés dans le monde et détaillera la forêt française très diversifiée. Il abordera la vie qui y règne avec ses milliers d'espèces animales et végétales qui se concurrencent souvent et s'entraident parfois, ainsi que les périodes fastes et les épreuves que la forêt a affrontées.
La conférence est organisée par la mairie de Meillon et Jean Touyarou de l'association des amis du musée d'Ossau et sera suivie d'un débat.

La importancia de los árboles y del bosque es hoy unánimemente reconocida. Dondequiera que se encuentre, los bosques desempeñan un papel fundamental en el equilibrio de los ecosistemas, en particular de los seres humanos. No heredamos el bosque de nuestros antepasados, lo tomamos prestado de nuestros hijos. Mientras que la relación del hombre con el árbol y el bosque nunca ha sido tan fuerte en Francia, el bosque en el mundo está gravemente amenazado. Deforestación, calentamiento climático, hundimiento de la biodiversidad... la toma de conciencia pasa por un mejor conocimiento de los desafíos con el fin, si todavía es posible, de proteger este patrimonio vivo que es el bosque. Jean Touyarou, ponente, presentará los diferentes tipos de bosques encontrados en el mundo y detallará el bosque francés muy diverso. Abordará la vida que reina allí con sus miles de especies animales y vegetales que a menudo compiten y se ayudan mutuamente, así como los períodos fastos y las pruebas que el bosque ha enfrentado. La conferencia está organizada por el ayuntamiento de Meillon y Jean Touyarou de la asociación de amigos del museo de Ossau y será seguida de un debate.
