Das Hôtel-Dieu wurde im 13. Jahrhundert von Gauthier de Maintenay gegründet. In der zweiten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts wurde die Kapelle dank der spektakulären Restaurierungsarbeiten unter der Schirmherrschaft des Architekten Clovis Normand neu gestaltet.
