Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes wird die große Schmiede von Buffon ausnahmsweise in ihrer Gesamtheit geöffnet. So kann der Besucher neben der normalerweise geöffneten Schmiede auch den häuslichen Teil mit den Häusern der Schmiede und ihrem Brotbackofen, den Ehrenhof und den Garten mit seiner Orangerie entdecken.
Buffon, der berühmte Naturforscher des 18. Jahrhunderts aus Montbard, baute seine Schmiede 1768 im Alter von 60 Jahren, um sein eigenes Labor zu besitzen, in dem er Experimente für die Naturgeschichte.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the great forge of Buffon will be exceptionally open in its entirety. Thus, in addition to the usually open forge, the visitor will be able to discover the domestic part with the forges' dwellings and their bread oven, the courtyard and the garden with its orangery.
Buffon, the famous naturalist of the eighteenth century native of Montbard, built his forge in 1768 at the age of 60 to own his own laboratory to conduct experiments for the writing of his Natural History.

In occasione delle Giornate europee del patrimonio, la grande fucina di Buffon sarà eccezionalmente aperta nella sua interezza. Così, oltre alla fucina solitamente aperta, il visitatore potrà scoprire la parte domestica con gli alloggi dei fabbri e il loro forno a pane, il cortile d'onore e il giardino con la sua orangerie.
Buffon, il celebre naturalista del XVIII secolo nativo di Montbard, costruì la sua fucina nel 1768 all'età di 60 anni per possedere il proprio laboratorio per condurre esperimenti per la redazione del suo Storia naturale.
