Der Herzog von Antin, rechtmäßiger Sohn der Marquise von Montespan, 2. Favorit von König Ludwig XIV., war zwischen 1692 und 1736 Besitzer des Schlosses von Bellegarde. Er vergrößerte und verschönerte die Burganlage stark.

The Duke of Antin, legitimate son of the Marquise de Montespan, 2nd favorite of King Louis XIV, was the owner of the Château de Bellegarde between 1692 and 1736. It greatly enlarged and embellished the castral ensemble.
