Don't hesitate to register to the ERC Starting Grant 2027 training session, organised by the Université Paris-Saclay.
As part of the ERC-UPSaclay support, two online morning sessions for candidates from the Université Paris-Saclay perimeter (and Institut Polytechnique de Paris) wishing to apply to the ERC Starting Grant 2027 call are organised on April 27 & 28, 2026.
These sessions will be composed of two phases:
Plenary session 1: on Monday, April 27, 2026
• 9.30 a.m - 11.15 a.m: General introduction of the ERC Starting Grant 2027. The objective is to provide an overview of the evaluation criteria, submission process, and ERC panels.
• 11:30 a.m - 13:00 p.m: Round-table discussion, in which experts, ERC laureates and European Affairs Officers will participate. This will be an opportunity for you to benefit from advice from different stakeholders and to ask any questions you may have.
Plenary session 2: on Tuesday, April 28, 2026
• 9.30 a.m - 12:30 a.m: Advices on how to write a proposal. The aim is to provide writing guidelines and best practices to prepare and optimize your grant application for Parts B1 and B2. A time for questions and answers will be set at the end of the session.
Provided you have attended the webinars and have made a specific request on the registration form, you will be eligible for a one-hour individual onlineinterview with one of our ERC experts about your project idea. The interviews will take place on Monday May 18 and Wednesday May 20, 2026. After registering, we will get back to you with the details of the interview. Please indicate in the "comments" part of the form if you have any particular availability during this period (morning, afternoon).
If you are not available on May 18 and 20, you will be able to benefit from an online interview at a later date. Please make sure to indicate this on the registration form.
Registration is free but mandatory.
Please note: The webinar as well as the individual interviews are reserved for researchers, teacher-researchers and administrative staff within the perimeter of the Université Paris-Saclay (as well as the Institut Polytechnique de Paris).
The sessions will be held as a webinar. We will send the final program and the link to connect online to all registrants the week before the webinar (the week before the meetings). Registered participants to an individual interview will be contacting shortly after their registration in order to adapt our support to their knowledge of ERC Grants and the state of their project.
