When thinking of great composers, names like Mozart or Beethoven often come to mind, but there is also Johannes Brahms—a reserved man whose music is profound and deeply emotional.
This concert offers a chance to explore his musical world by tracing the composer's life. It highlights Brahms’s connection to the human voice, poetry, and traditional German songs. In this program, the vocal parts are replaced by brass instruments; while Brahms often used brass to convey great depth, here they take the place of the choir with both gentleness and solemnity.
Program: Ballades (Op. 10), Rhapsodies (Op. 79), and Vocal Quartets (Op. 64, 92 & 112)

Quand on pense aux grands compositeurs, on cite souvent Mozart ou Beethoven, mais il y a aussi Johannes Brahms, un homme discret, à la musique profonde et pleine d’émotion.
Ce concert propose de découvrir cet univers en parcourant la vie du compositeur. Il met en lumière le lien de Brahms avec la voix, la poésie et les chants traditionnels allemands. Dans ce programme, les voix sont remplacées par des cuivres. Habituellement utilisés avec profondeur par Brahms, ils prennent ici la place du chœur avec douceur et solennité.
