Dieses Kloster wurde 1668 von den Ursulinen erbaut, die für die Erziehung der Mädchen verantwortlich waren. Die Kapelle ist mit der ersten barocken Fassade eines Frauenklosters in Guingamp geschmückt.

Dieses Kloster wurde 1668 von den Ursulinen erbaut, die für die Erziehung der Mädchen verantwortlich waren. Die Kapelle ist mit der ersten barocken Fassade eines Frauenklosters in Guingamp geschmückt. Sie inspirierte zwei weitere Klöster in Guingamp: die Augustiner und Montbareil. Die revolutionären Unruhen brachten die Tätigkeit des Klosters zum Erliegen, das verschiedene, oft militärische Aufgaben hatte.
Heute ist das Klostergebäude der Sitz von Guingamp-Paimpol Agglomération. Die Kapelle wurde umfassend restauriert und mit einem regionalen Architekturpreis ausgezeichnet. Es beherbergt jetzt ein Amphitheater.

This convent was built in 1668 by the Ursulines, responsible for the education of young girls. The chapel is adorned with the first baroque facade of a female convent in Guingamp. She inspired two other convents in Guingamp: the Augustines and Montbareil. The revolutionary turmoil put an end to the activities of the convent which had various often military assignments.
Today, the convent building is the headquarters of Guingamp-Paimpol Agglomeration. The Chapel has undergone extensive restoration work, which was rewarded with a regional architecture prize. It now hosts an amphitheater.

Ce couvent fut construit en 1668 par les Ursulines, en charge de l’éducation des jeunes filles. La chapelle s’orne de la première façade baroque d’un couvent féminin à Guingamp. Elle inspira deux autres couvents à Guingamp : les Augustines et Montbareil. La tourmente révolutionnaire mit fin aux activités du couvent qui eut diverses affectations souvent militaires.
Aujourd’hui, le bâtiment conventuel est le siège de Guingamp-Paimpol Agglomération. La Chapelle a fait l'objet d'importants travaux de restauration, laquelle a été récompensée par un prix régional d’architecture. Elle accueille désormais un amphithéâtre.
