On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of this major donation, the Museum of Fine Arts pays tribute to the couple of collectors Henri and Suzanne Baderou. Their generous legacy (nearly 6,000 drawings from the 15th to the 20th century) now constitutes the major part of the museum’s graphic arts collection.
The exhibition invites you to discover the history of this passionate collection, the eclecticism of the works gathered together and the singular gaze of a couple who bought "out of sensitivity", from great masters to unknown artists. Organized in three stages, the route reveals the history of the donation, a panorama of five centuries of graphic creations, then a set dedicated to the unusual and humor, dear to Baderou.
This exhibition is also the result of an exceptional educational partnership with the Ecole du Louvre.
