Im 19. Jahrhundert veränderte die Einführung der Eisenbahn den Städtebau, die Wirtschaft und die Gesellschaft und trieb die Stadt in die Moderne.
Im Viertel der Rue Sully bilden der erste Pier, der Güterbahnhof, das Depot und die Kuppeln, in denen sich die alten Werkstätten befanden, ein bemerkenswertes Erbe, das heute durch die Wechselfälle der Zeit bedroht ist.
Dieser Besuch ermöglicht es auch, eine schlafende Erinnerung wiederzubeleben, die bis in die 1980er Jahre ein treibender Faktor der Wirtschaft von Nîmes war.

In the district of rue Sully, the first pier, the freight station, the depot and the domes that housed the old workshops are a remarkable heritage, now threatened by the vicissitudes of time.
This visit also makes it possible to revive a dormant memory, which was nevertheless, until the 1980s, one of the driving forces of the Nîmes economy.

Nel XIX secolo, l'arrivo della ferrovia sconvolge l'urbanistica, l'economia e la società, proiettando la città nella modernità.
Nel quartiere di rue Sully, il primo molo, la stazione merci, il deposito e le cupole che ospitavano i vecchi laboratori costituiscono un patrimonio notevole, oggi minacciato dalle vicissitudini del tempo.
Questa visita permette anche di ravvivare una memoria addormentata, che è stata tuttavia, fino agli anni '80, uno dei motori dell'economia nîmoise.

Dans le quartier de la rue Sully, le premier embarcadère, la gare de marchandises, le dépôt et les coupoles qui abritaient les anciens ateliers constituent un remarquable patrimoine, aujourd’hui menacé par les vicissitudes du temps.
Cette visite permet aussi de raviver une mémoire assoupie, qui fut pourtant, jusqu’aux années 1980, l’un des moteurs de l’économie nîmoise.
