Around John Dowland, William Lawes, Lady Mary Dering... , tenor Antonin Rondepierre and lutenist Gabriel Rignol explore a landscape where refined melancholy rubs the brightest grace. Between nocturnal introspection and vital celebration of the carpe diem, this musical journey offers a synthetic and sensitive vision of artistic creation across the Channel, from the Elizabethan era to the end of the Stuart period. From the suspended complaints of Flow my tears to the more theatrical impulses of Purcell through works of popular Scottish origins, each piece becomes a space of confidence, where voice and lute weave a dialogue of great delicacy.
