Die Bibliothek basiert auf dem Wunsch, den anderen zu treffen und auf der Idee, dass jeder ein Autor eines Wissens sein und es teilen kann. Fanny de Chaillé arbeitet mit einer Gruppe freiwilliger Personen zusammen, damit sie "zu Büchern werden und von der Öffentlichkeit konsultiert" werden.
Diejenigen, die der Bibliothek Gestalt geben, sind Akteure der Gesellschaft wie wir alle, unabhängig von unserer Rolle und ihrer Bedeutung. Während etwa zwanzig Minuten erzählt das Buch eine Geschichte über ihn, die er persönlich mit einem Lesefreund erzählt.

The Library is based on a desire to meet others and on the idea that everyone can be the author of knowledge and share it. Fanny de Chaillé works with a group of volunteers to "become books and be consulted" by the public.
Those who give substance to the library are actors in society as we all are, whatever role we play there and whatever its importance. For about twenty minutes, the book tells a story about him one-on-one with a reader.

La Biblioteca si fonda sulla volontà di incontrare l'altro e sull'idea che ognuno possa essere autore di un sapere e condividerlo. Fanny de Chaillé lavora con un gruppo di persone volontarie affinché esse "diventino libri e vengano consultate" dal pubblico.
Coloro che danno forma alla biblioteca sono attori della società come lo siamo tutti noi, indipendentemente dal ruolo che svolgiamo e dalla sua importanza. Per una ventina di minuti, il libro racconta una storia su di lui in privato con un lettore esperto.

La Bibliothèque se fonde sur une volonté de rencontrer l’autre et sur l’idée que tout un chacun peut être l’auteur d’un savoir et le mettre en partage. Fanny de Chaillé travaille avec un groupe de personnes volontaires pour qu’elles « deviennent des livres et soient consultées » par le public.
Celles et ceux qui donnent corps à la bibliothèque sont les acteurs de la société comme nous le sommes tous, quel que soit le rôle que nous y jouons et quelle que soit son importance. Pendant une vingtaine de minutes, le livre raconte une histoire le concernant en tête-à-tête avec un·e lecteur·rice.

La Biblioteca se basa en el deseo de conocer a los demás y en la idea de que cada uno puede ser autor de un conocimiento y compartirlo. Fanny de Chaillé trabaja con un grupo de personas voluntarias para que "se conviertan en libros y sean consultados" por el público.
Quienes dan cuerpo a la biblioteca son los actores de la sociedad como lo somos todos nosotros, sea cual fuere el papel que desempeñemos en ella y sea cual fuere su importancia. Durante unos veinte minutos, el libro cuenta una historia sobre él a solas con un lector inglés.
