Im Herzen des Munstertals gelegen, ist das Schloss Schwartzenburg ein faszinierendes Zeugnis der mittelalterlichen elsässischen Geschichte. Erstmals erwähnt im Jahr 1261, wurde es gebaut, um die Kontrolle über das Tal zu behaupten und im Laufe der Jahrhunderte von zahlreichen Besatzern und Herren gekannt. Als strategische Festung wurde sie unter anderem den Familien Munch aus Landskron und dann Beger aus Geispolsheim anvertraut, die bedeutende Restaurierungsarbeiten durchführten. Zu Beginn des 16. Jahrhunderts wurde die der heiligen Anna geweihte Kapelle errichtet. Die militärischen Auseinandersetzungen und Besetzungen des 17. Jahrhunderts führten schließlich zur Aufgabe der Burg, die nach und nach in Trümmern verfiel. Heute zeugen einige Überreste und alte Markierungen noch von seiner bewegten Vergangenheit. Aber Schwartzenburg ist auch ein geheimnisvoller Ort, geprägt von der berühmten Legende der weißen Dame. Laut der Erzählung soll die junge Gretle dort einen sagenhaften Schatz entdeckt haben, vorausgesetzt, sie heiratet nie. Als Dame Marguerite brach sie dieses Versprechen und wurde dazu verdammt, für immer durch die Ruinen des Schlosses zu wandern. Perched in the heart of the Munster valley, the castle of Schwartzenbourg is a fascinating witness to medieval Alsatian history. Mentioned for the first time in 1261, it was built to assert control of the valley and has known over the centuries many occupants and lords. Strategic fortress, it was notably entrusted to the families Munch de Landskron and then Beger de Geispolsheim, who undertook major restoration work. It was at the beginning of the 16th century that the chapel dedicated to Saint Anne was built. The conflicts and military occupations of the 17th century eventually led to the abandonment of the castle, which gradually fell into ruins. Today, some vestiges and old markers still bear witness to its eventful past. But Schwartzenbourg is also a place steeped in mystery, marked by the famous legend of the White Lady. According to the story, young Gretle would have discovered a fabulous treasure there, on the condition of never getting married. Having become Dame Marguerite, she nevertheless broke this promise and was condemned to wander forever in the ruins of the castle. Menzionato per la prima volta nel 1261, fu costruito per affermare il controllo della valle e conobbe nei secoli numerosi occupanti e signori. Fortezza strategica, fu affidata alle famiglie Munch di Landskron e poi Beger di Geispolsheim, che intrapresero importanti lavori di restauro. All'inizio del XVI secolo fu costruita la cappella castrale dedicata a Sant'Anna. I conflitti e le occupazioni militari del XVII secolo portarono alla fine all'abbandono del castello, che cadde gradualmente in rovina. Oggi, alcune vestigia e antichi punti segnano ancora il suo passato turbolento. Ma Schwartzenburg è anche un luogo pieno di mistero, segnato dalla famosa leggenda della Dama bianca. Secondo il racconto, la giovane Gretle vi avrebbe scoperto un tesoro favoloso, a condizione di non sposarsi mai.
