Spalio 15 d. Lietuvos nacionalinėje filharmonijoje nuskambės baigiamieji festivalio akordai. Šešiolikto tarptautinio Šv. Jokūbo festivalio kulminacija – kompozitorės Zitos Bružaitės oratorijos „Votai“ pasaulinė premjera.
Šv. Jokūbo festivalis puoselėja tradiciją kasmet užsakyti ir pristatyti naują lietuvių kompozitorių kūrinį. Šių metų premjera skirta ypatingai progai – Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių sąjungos (LASS) įkūrimo 100-mečiui.
Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių sąjunga (LASS) – 1926 m. įkurta seniausia šalies nevyriausybinė organizacija, vienijanti regos negalią turinčius žmones. Jau šimtmetį LASS atstovauja regėjimo neįgaliųjų teisėms, rūpinasi jų socialine integracija, reabilitacija, švietimu bei kultūrine saviraiška.
Ši proginė premjera turi ypatingą reikšmę ir pačiam atlikėjų kolektyvui – Valstybinis choras „Vilnius“ savo gyvavimo istoriją pradėjo prieš 55 metus būtent kaip Lietuvos aklųjų ir silpnaregių draugijos choras.
Nors kūrinys gimė choro Vilniaus užsakymu ir oratorijos pobūdžio kompozicija skirta LASS įkūrimo 100-mečiui paminėti, jo idėja yra gerokai platesnė. Tai pasakojimas apie žmogaus kūno ir dvasios galią nepasiduoti, apie gebėjimą gyventi viltyje net sunkiausių išbandymų akivaizdoje, apie tikėjimą, kuris padeda atsitiesti, ir dėkingumą, kuris tampa vidinės stiprybės šaltiniu.
Kūrinys kalba apie visus žmones, kurių kasdienė kova, atkaklumas ir meilė artimui tampa tikraisiais gyvenimo stebuklais. Votas – tai padėkos, vilties ir pasitikėjimo ženklas, paliekamas susidūrus su išbandymais.
Z. Bružaitės oratoriją „Votai“ atlieka Valstybinis choras „Vilnius“, festivalio instrumentinis ansamblis ir skaitovas. Dirigentas – Artūras Dambrauskas.

The St. James Festival cherishes the tradition of ordering and presenting a new piece of Lithuanian composers every year. This year’s premiere is dedicated to a special occasion – the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Lithuanian blind and visually impaired union (LASS).
Lithuanian blind and visually impaired Union (LASS) – the oldest non-governmental organization in the country, founded in 1926, uniting people with visual disabilities. For over a century, the LASS has been representing the rights of visually impaired people, taking care of their social integration, rehabilitation, education and cultural self-expression.
This commemorative premiere has a special significance for the performers’ collective as well – the State Choir “Vilnius” started its history 55 years ago, precisely as a choir of the Lithuanian Society of the blind and visually impaired.
Although the work was born on behalf of the choir Vilnius and the oratorio composition is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the LASS, its idea is much broader. It is a story about the power of the human body and spirit not to give up, about the ability to live in hope even in the face of the most difficult trials, about the faith that helps to recover, and about gratitude that becomes the source of inner strength.
The work speaks of all people whose daily struggle, perseverance and love for their neighbor become the true miracles of life. Votas is a sign of gratitude, hope and trust left in the face of challenges.
The oratorio “Votai” of Z. Bruzaite is performed by the State Choir “Vilnius”, the instrumental ensemble and the number of the festival. Conductor is Arthur Dambrauskas.

Le 15 octobre, les accords finaux du festival seront entendus à la Philharmonie nationale lituanienne. Le point culminant du 16e Festival international de préparation James est la première mondiale de l'oratorio Votai du compositeur Zita Bruzaite.
Le Festival James chérit la tradition de commander et de présenter chaque année une nouvelle pièce de compositeurs lituaniens. La première de cette année est consacrée à une occasion spéciale – le 100e anniversaire de la fondation de l’union lituanienne des aveugles et des malvoyants (LASS).
Union lituanienne des aveugles et des déficients visuels (LASS) – la plus ancienne organisation non gouvernementale du pays, fondée en 1926, réunissant des personnes handicapées visuelles. Depuis plus d'un siècle, le LASS défend les droits des personnes malvoyantes, s'occupant de leur intégration sociale, de leur réadaptation, de leur éducation et de leur expression culturelle.
Cette première commémorative a également une signification particulière pour le collectif d’artistes-interprètes – le Chœur d’État « Vilnius » a commencé son histoire il y a 55 ans, précisément en tant que chœur de la Société lituanienne des aveugles et des malvoyants.
Bien que l’œuvre soit née pour le compte du chœur Vilnius et que la composition de l’oratorio soit dédiée au 100e anniversaire de la fondation de la LAQUE, son idée est beaucoup plus large. C’est une histoire sur le pouvoir du corps et de l’esprit humains de ne pas abandonner, sur la capacité de vivre dans l’espérance même face aux épreuves les plus difficiles, sur la foi qui aide à récupérer, et sur la gratitude qui devient la source de la force intérieure.
L’œuvre parle de toutes les personnes dont la lutte quotidienne, la persévérance et l’amour pour leur prochain deviennent les vrais miracles de la vie. Votas est un signe de gratitude, d'espoir et de confiance laissé face aux défis.
L’oratorio “Votai” de Z. Bruzaite est interprété par le Choeur d’Etat “Vilnius”, l’ensemble instrumental et le numéro du festival. Le chef d'orchestre est Arthur Dambrauskas.

El Festival de Santiago aprecia la tradición de ordenar y presentar una nueva pieza de compositores lituanos cada año. El estreno de este año está dedicado a una ocasión especial: El 100 aniversario de la fundación de la unión lituana de ciegos y discapacitados visuales (LASS).
Unión Lituana de Ciegos y Discapacitados Visuales (LASS) – la organización no gubernamental más antigua del país, fundada en 1926, que une a personas con discapacidades visuales. Durante más de un siglo, el LASS ha representado los derechos de las personas con discapacidad visual, cuidando su integración social, rehabilitación, educación y autoexpresión cultural.
Este estreno conmemorativo también tiene un significado especial para el colectivo de intérpretes: El Coro Estatal “Vilnius” comenzó su historia hace 55 años, precisamente como coro de la Sociedad Lituana de Ciegos y Discapacitados Visuales.
Aunque la obra nació en nombre del coro Vilnius y la composición del oratorio está dedicada al 100 aniversario de la fundación del LASS, su idea es mucho más amplia. Es una historia sobre el poder del cuerpo y del espíritu humano para no rendirse, sobre la capacidad de vivir en la esperanza incluso frente a las pruebas más difíciles, sobre la fe que ayuda a recuperarse y sobre la gratitud que se convierte en fuente de fortaleza interior.
La Obra habla de todas las personas cuya lucha diaria, perseverancia y amor por el prójimo se convierten en verdaderos milagros de la vida. Votas es un signo de gratitud, esperanza y confianza dejada frente a los desafíos.
El oratorio “Votai” de Z. Bruzaite es interpretado por el Coro Estatal “Vilnius”, el conjunto instrumental y el número del festival. El director es Arthur Dambrauskas.
