Die Privatsammlung von László Vass, einer der wichtigsten Bezugspunkte der ungarischen und internationalen geometrischen, konstruktivistischen und nicht-figurativen Strömungen, ist weithin anerkannt. Im Gegensatz dazu ist die Rolle der Fotografie innerhalb dieses Ensembles weniger wichtig. Die Ausstellung konzentriert sich auf diese reiche fotografische Sammlung, die sowohl ikonische Künstlerporträts als auch intimere und persönlichere Darstellungen umfasst. Die Bilder von Lucien Hervé führen uns insbesondere in das Atelier von Henri Matisse ein.
Von Anna Margit bis zu Béla Czóbel und Jenő Szervátiusz widmet die Ausstellung den bedeutendsten Figuren der ungarischen Kunst des 20. Jahrhunderts besondere Aufmerksamkeit. Die Auswahl umfasst auch Werke von Éva Keleti, Edit Molnár, Elemér Vattay, István Tóth, Endre Kovács, Rodolf Hervé und anderen und bildet ein fotografisches Ensemble, das sowohl Identität als auch Erinnerung und visuelles Denken thematisiert.

The private collection of László Vass, one of the major references of Hungarian and international geometric, constructivist and non-figurative currents, is widely recognized. On the other hand, the role of photography within this whole is less so. The exhibition focuses on this rich photographic fund, which includes both iconic portraits of artists and more intimate and personal representations. The images of Lucien Hervé introduce us notably in the workshop of Henri Matisse.
From Anna Margit to Béla Czóbel and Jenő Szervátiusz, the exhibition pays particular attention to the major figures of 20th century Hungarian art. The selection also includes works by Éva Keleti, Edit Molnár, Elemér Vattay, István Tóth, Endre Kovács, Rodolf Hervé and others, forming a photographic ensemble that evokes identity, memory and visual thought.
