Was soll ich fotografieren?
In dieser Schöpfung experimentiert Sylvie MIR durch das Malerische, ihr eigenes sehr elastisches Maß für Zeit und Raum: Für sie ist "die malerische Tätigkeit eine mögliche Entwicklung. Bildmontagen bringen Fotografie und Malerei zusammen und zwingen den Blick, sie als ein einziges visuelles Territorium zu assimilieren. Das fotografische Bild ist kein Selbstzweck, sondern ein Ausgangspunkt. Sie ist geschnitten, gesättigt, verschoben, bearbeitet, wie man es von einer Leinwand oder einer Zeichnung her machen würde.
Für diese Arbeit verwischt sie die Grenze zwischen dem Feld und dem Offfield, zwischen dem, was gezeigt wird, und dem, was entgeht. Seine Werke "repräsentieren" nichts, sie präsentieren. Sie laden ein, anders zu sehen, die Fotografie in ihrer berührendsten und freiesten Dimension zu erleben, im ständigen Dialog mit der Malerei, dem Zeichnen und den Gesten des Alltags.

What am I doing with the photo?
In this creation, Sylvie MIR experiments through the pictorial, her own very elastic measurement of time and space: for her "the pictorial activity is a possible in motion. Montages of images bring photography and painting closer, forcing the eye to assimilate them as a single visual territory. The photographic image is not an end in itself, but a starting point. It is cut, saturated, moved, worked as one would do with a canvas or a drawing.
For this work, she blurs the boundary between field and off-frame, between what is shown and what escapes. His works do not "represent" anything, they present. They invite to see differently, to feel photography in its most tactile and free dimension, in constant dialogue with painting, drawing and everyday gestures.

Q'est-ce-que je fais de la photo?
Dans cette création, Sylvie MIR expérimente à travers le pictural, sa propre mesure très élastique du temps et de l’espace : pour elle « l'activité picturale est un possible en marche. Des montages d’images rapprochent photographie et peinture, et obligent le regard à les assimiler comme un seul territoire visuel. « L’image photographique n’est pas une fin en soi, mais un point de départ. Elle est découpée, saturée, déplacée, travaillée comme on le ferait d’une toile ou d’un dessin.
Pour ce travail, elle brouille la frontière entre le champ et le hors-champ, entre ce qui est montré et ce qui échappe. Ses œuvres ne « représentent » rien, elles présentent. Elles invitent à voir autrement, à ressentir la photographie dans sa dimension la plus tactile, la plus libre, en dialogue constant avec la peinture, le dessin et les gestes du quotidien.
