Living spaces: architecture of thoughts Proposed by Claudia Campos, curator On the occasion of the European Heritage Days 2025, the GEM Arc-en-Ciel collective offers an immersive and sensitive artistic installation. This project brings into dialogue the refined architecture of the Villa Savoye by Le Corbusier with the thought architecture of the artists of the GEM Arc-en-ciel. The GEM rainbow is a mutual aid group located in Poissy, a friendly welcome and support place between peers, intended for people in situations of psychic fragility. Thought architecture refers to the way in which our ideas, memories, emotions, and mental representations are internally organized, as in an inhabited space. Each person of the Gem is marked by their life paths, their complex thoughts, their reconstruction spaces.A dialogue between two worlds If Le Corbusier sought to create harmony through absolute order, the artists of the GEM Arc-en-Ciel, for their part, invent free forms, from chaos, from what spills over, remembers, repairs. They extend, without knowing it, another thought of architecture: no longer a framework that encloses, but a space that welcomes human complexity. An invisible mental heritage The members of the GEM are bearers of an inner heritage often ignored. In this project, we consider their thoughts as an architecture in itself: a space of memory, experiences, reconstructions, that each one models, deconstructs or protects in his own way.2025: A symbolic year for inclusion The year 2025 marks the 20th anniversary of the law of 11 February 2005 on equal rights and opportunities, participation and citizenship for persons with disabilities. This law was a major turning point in France, laying the foundations for a more inclusive society. In 2025, strong commitments were made to strengthen accessibility and inclusion of people with disabilities.
