The Old Masters trade their human skin to slip into the covering of a Troi(an) horse, complete with hooves and brushes. By co-habiting in the same costume, the trio of performers places itself at the exact tipping point between humankind and animalkind. How will this hybrid being, passionate about art and painting, satisfy its need for freedom and vast spaces to cleave through at a gallop? Continuing with offbeat playfulness, an immoderate taste for philosophical research, an embraced naivety and a pronounced sense of pictoriality in their exploration of the creative act, the trio here questions even the renewal of the desire that leads to it.

Les Old Masters troquent leur peau humaine pour se glisser dans l’enveloppe d’un cheval de troi(e)s, avec sabots et pinceaux. En co-habitant dans le même costume, le trio d’interprètes se place à l’exact point de bascule entre le genre humain et le genre animal. Comment cet être hybride, passionné d’art et de peinture va-t-il satisfaire son besoin de liberté et de grands espaces à fendre au galop ? Poursuivant avec un ludisme décalé, un goût immodéré pour la recherche philosophique, une naïveté assumée et un sens prononcé de la picturalité, leur exploration de l’acte créatif, le trio interroge ici jusqu’au renouvellement du désir qui y conduit.
