Heimat are two well-known figures in the French underground: Olivier Demeaux, keyboardist with Cheveu (Accident du Travail), and Armelle Oberle on vocals (The Dreams or Badaboum). Their debut album (2016) surprised with its originality, inspired as much by new wave and trap-music as by ethnographic recordings from Southeast Asia. As strange as it was lyrical, this record has established itself as a classic of the genre. Since then, Heimat has been remixed by Sonic Boom, Tolouse Low Trax, Ripit and Zohar, and has been invited to share European tours with Fever Ray and Protomartyr.
March 2025 saw the release of their third album, “Iti eta no”, with cover art by Angoulême 2025 Grand Prix-winning artist Anouk Ricard.

Heimat, c’est deux personnalités bien connues des sphères underground hexagonales Olivier Demeaux, claviériste de Cheveu (Accident du Travail), et Armelle Oberle à la voix (The Dreams ou Badaboum). Leur premier album (2016) a surpris par son originalité, inspiré aussi bien par la new wave et la trap-music que par les enregistrements ethnographiques d’Asie du Sud-Est. Aussi étrange que lyrique, ce disque s’est imposé comme un classique du genre. Depuis, Heimat a été remixé par Sonic Boom, Tolouse Low Trax, Ripit ou Zohar et a été invité à partager les tournées européennes de Fever Ray ou Protomartyr.
En mars 2025, sort son troisième album, « Iti eta no », dont la pochette a été réalisée par la dessinatrice Anouk Ricard, lauréate du grand prix d’Angoulême 2025.
