Collective exhibition - HiFlow with ArtHug - "Oh dear feelings [...]"
HiFlow has chosen to explore our relationship with healthcare, and invited the curators Séverine Cattin and Sara Petrucci to design a group exhibition of contemporary art in collaboration with ArtHUG.

What defines us as sensing and perceiving entities within the macrocosms we inhabit? The group exhibition "Oh dear feelings "*, whose title is inspired by a poem by Geneva-based artist Sabrina Röthlisberger Belkacem, explores the dialogue between the human and care, and develops themes linked to the ethics and aesthetics of care. Thinking about the human involves questioning the relationships we maintain not only with our bodies and our inner selves, but also with the living, with the collective, and with our environment, whether animate or inanimate.
The tour features exploratory stations hybridizing the human, the non-human and the posthuman. It takes the form of a dialogue between contemporary Swiss and international artists such as Bruno Botella, Lauren Huret and Maria Guta, Virgile Novarina and Galaxia Wang, with emblematic works from the HUG collection.
When care becomes body: the human being is first and foremost a body that overflows itself, goes beyond the interface of flesh, and lodges itself in the depths of consciousness and its altered states. Sleep to heal: sleep reveals unexplored territories of the mind, beyond the values that govern our contemporary society. Cultivating connections to the emotions and spirituality, the works and objects on display question the links between art and therapy in this quest for human understanding. They become potential agents of transformation, ritual tools and objects of speculation on the human of the future. But how can they act as a remedy? Bringing together some thirty works articulated around the theme of care, the exhibition examines different forms of sensory engagement and empathy.

Performance - La Bulle paradoxale
To celebrate the opening of its collective exhibition, HiFlow is presenting La Bulle paradoxale, an interactive performance installation that makes the brain's sleep and wakefulness activities visible for the first time in Switzerland. It is created by artists Virgile Novari na and Walid Breidi. During his performance, artist Virgile Novarina sleeps in public, wearing a headband with electrodes that record the activity of his sleeping brain. A triptych of interactive videos showing moving air bubbles is driven by the brain activity of Virgile Novarina, asleep, and by the brain activity of the audience. An installation that blends art & science and questions the realm of sleep and dreams.

Qu’est-ce qui nous définit en tant qu’entité sentant et percevant au sein des macrocosmes que nous habitons ? L’exposition collective “Oh dear feelings”* dont le titre s’inspire d’un poème de l’artiste genevoise Sabrina Röthlisberger Belkacem explore les dialogues entre l’humain et le soin, développe des thématiques liées à une éthique et à une esthétique du care. Penser l’humain porte à questionner les relations que nous entretenons non seulement avec notre corps et notre intériorité mais aussi avec le vivant, avec le collectif, et son environnement, animé ou non animé.
Le parcours propose des stations exploratoires hybridant l’humain, le non-humain et le posthumain. Il se présente sous la forme d’un dialogue entre des artistes contemporain-e-x-s suisses et internationaux-ales, tels que Bruno Botella, Lauren Huret et Maria Guta, Virgile Novarina et Galaxia Wang, avec des œuvres emblématiques de la collection des HUG.
Quand le care fait corps : l’humain est d’abord un corps qui se déborde, outrepasse l’interface de la chair, se loge dans les profondeurs de la conscience et de ses états altérés. Dormir pour guérir : le sommeil dévoile des territoires inexplorés de l’esprit, au-delà des valeurs qui régissent notre société contemporaine. Cultivant des connexions aux émotions et à la spiritualité, les œuvres et les objets exposés questionnent les liens entre art et thérapie dans cette quête de compréhension de l’humain. Ils deviennent potentiellement des agents de transformation, des outils rituels et des objets de spéculation sur l’humain du futur. Mais en quoi peuvent-ils agir comme un remède ? Réunissant une trentaine de travaux articulés autour du care, l’exposition interroge différentes formes d'engagement sensoriel et d'empathie.

Performance - La Bulle paradoxale
Dans le cadre du vernissage de l'exposition collective, HiFlow présente pour la première fois en Suisse, La Bulle paradoxale, une installation interactive–performance permettant plastiquement de rendre visibles les activités cérébrales du sommeil et de l’éveil. Elle est réalisée par les artistes Virgile Novarina et Walid Breidi. Lors de sa performance, l'artiste Virgile Novarina dort en public, muni d’un bandeau à électrodes captant l’activité de son cerveau endormi. Un triptyque de vidéos interactives montrant des bulles d’air en mouvement est piloté par l’activité cérébrale de Virgile Novarina, endormi, et par l’activité cérébrale du public. Une installation qui mêle art & science et questionne le domaine du sommeil et des rêves.
