Photo Spot “Grand Tour of Switzerland
Installed on the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, the “Photo Spot” of the Grand Tour of Switzerland offers a spectacular view between the Jet d’eau and Mont Blanc. This iconic frame invites visitors to capture a memorable moment of their time in Geneva.
National Monument
Inaugurated in 1869, this monument symbolises the entry of Geneva into the Swiss Confederation on 12th September 1814. It was constructed to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of this alliance, which was commemorated with celebrations in September 1864 and 1869.
The Old Arsenal & cannons
Just steps from Place Bourg-de-Four, the former Arsenal houses three historic cannons beneath its arcades. Large murals on the walls depict key moments in Geneva’s history. Once a weapons depot, the site bears witness to the city’s military past and rich heritage.
Reformation Wall
In the heart of Parc des Bastions, towering statues of Jean Calvin, Guillaume Farel, Théodore de Bèze and John Knox pay tribute to the key figures of the Reformation. Etched into the wall, the words “Post Tenebras Lux” recall Geneva’s central role in spreading Calvinism in the 16th and 17th centuries.

Photo Spot du Grand Tour de Suisse
Installé sur la Rotonde du Mont-Blanc, le « Photo Spot » du Grand Tour de Suisse offre un point de vue spectaculaire entre le Jet d’eau et le Mont-Blanc. Ce cadre emblématique invite les visiteurs à immortaliser leur passage à Genève.
Monument National
Inauguré en 1869, ce monument symbolise l’entrée de Genève dans la Confédération helvétique, le 12 septembre 1814. Il fut érigé pour célébrer le cinquantenaire de cette alliance, pour laquelle des commémorations – les Fêtes de Septembre – ont eu lieu en 1864 et 1869.
L’Ancien Arsenal & canons
À deux pas de la place Bourg-de-Four, l’ancien Arsenal abrite trois canons d’époque sous ses arcades. Sur les murs, de grandes fresques illustrent des moments clés de l’histoire de Genève. Ce lieu, autrefois entrepôt d’armes, témoigne du passé militaire de la ville et de son riche patrimoine.
Mur des Réformateurs
Au coeur du Parc des Bastions, les figures emblématiques de la Réforme – Jean Calvin, Guillaume Farel, Théodore de Bèze et John Knox– vous accueillent sous forme de statues monumentales. Gravée dans le mur, la devise « Post Tenebras Lux» rappelle le rôle central de Genève dans la diffusion du calvinisme aux XVIe et XVIIe siècles.
