The love and farewell of two mythical lovers, based on Virgil’s Aeneid : fleeing Troy, Aeneas lands in Carthage and falls in love with Queen Dido. But witches and spirits put an end to the romance, pushing Aeneas to set sail again to found Rome. Abandoned, Dido dies of grief in an unforgettable lament.

L’amour et l’adieu de deux amants mythiques, d’après l’Énéide de Virgile: fuyant Troie, Énée aborde à Carthage et tombe amoureux de la reine Didon. Mais sorcières et esprits mettent fin à l’idylle, poussant Énée à reprendre la mer pour aller fonder Rome. Abandonnée, Didon meurt de chagrin dans une plainte inoubliable.
