Mural art festival in Bègles
This first edition of the Festival aims to project a positive light on Bègles and the Terres Neuves district through an artistic and social approach by colouring the district!
In a unique district combining culture, digital technology and social diversity, this urban art operation aims to re-enchant the city through the creation of a unique artistic and cultural heritage as part of the urban renewal process.
The creation of giant murals will make it possible, beyond the participative event around subjects related to the environment, gender equality, inclusion and cultural diversity, to leave a lasting mark on the public space and to make culture accessible to all.
The monumental works, created by international artists, including one of the largest frescoes in the city (500 m2 on the BT6) and two works in sports facilities with free access, will allow all residents of Begium and the city to experience art in their daily lives in a popular, public and free way, whatever their age, origin, culture or language.
During these 10 days, the public is invited to see the artists at work and meet them.

Friday 7th April
- Discovery of cultural jobs with the artist JKing and Damien Gillot from 11.15am to 12pm and from 2.15pm to 3pm
- Circus show OCHO at 8.30pm
Wednesday 12th April
- Participative workshops with the artist JKing from 12pm to 4pm on the basketball court of the Duhourquet Stadium
- Shared meal at 8pm at ChapitÔ
Thursday 13th April
- Participative workshops with the artist JKing from 10am to 4pm on the basketball court of the Duhourquet Stadium
- Cafitô visit at 11am
- T-shirt workshop from 2pm to 4pm at ChapitÔ
Friday 14th April

Festival de l'art mural à Bègles
Cette première édition du Festival vise à projeter une lumière positive sur Bègles et le quartier des Terres Neuves via une démarche artistique et sociale en colorant le quartier !
Dans un quartier unique mêlant culture, numérique, mixité sociale, cette opération d’art urbain vise à réenchanter la ville via la création d’un patrimoine artistique et culturel unique qui s’inscrit dans le cadre du renouvellement urbain.
La réalisation de fresques murales géantes permettra, au-delà de l’événement participatif autour des sujets liés à l’environnement, l’égalité homme-femme, l’inclusion, la diversité culturelle, de laisser une trace durable dans l’espace public et de rendre la culture accessible à tous.
Les oeuvres monumentales, réalisées par des artistes internationaux, dont l’une des plus grandes fresques de la métropole (500 m2 sur le BT6) et deux oeuvres au sein d’équipements sportifs en accès libre, permettront à tous les Béglais et métropolitains de vivre l’art dans leur quotidien de manière populaire, publique, gratuite, quelque soit leur âge, origine, culture, langue.
Durant ces 10 jours, le public est invité à voir les artistes à l’oeuvre et les rencontrer.
