What if animals had a utopia of their own? A tragicomic, musical ode to animal emancipation. A puppet show for all audiences, ages 7 and up.

On one side, the “useful” animals: a guard dog, egg-laying hens, a pig in a cage. Domesticated, they work and obey. Fear of the wild keeps everything in order, but discipline and security are not the same as freedom. And then, sometimes, instinct resurfaces, they make a break for it, and they’re on the run. On the other side, the “useless” animals: survivors rescued from the roadside, hidden away, hunted, broken, experts at fending for themselves and adapting. And then there’s the road, almost impossible to cross, which they must navigate to reach the Nono Zone, a hopeful vision of somewhere else, where mutual support and friendship might prevail. United by a shared desire for emancipation, will these animals find a refuge for their joyful musical community of misfits?
On stage, two puppeteers and two musicians bring to life a cast of wonderfully oddball, endearing creatures through music and song. With humour and poetry, La zone nono reminds us that solidarity can make the most extraordinary acts of liberation possible.

D’un côté, les animaux « utiles » : chien de garde, poules pondeuses, cochon en cage. Domestiqués, ils travaillent et obéissent. La peur du monde sauvage maintient l’ordre, mais discipline et sécurité ne sont pas synonymes de liberté. Et puis, parfois, l’instinct ressurgit, on prend la tangente et c’est la cavale. De l’autre côté, les animaux « inutiles » : rescapés du bord de route, cachés, chassés, cassés, experts en débrouille et en adaptation. Et puis la route, quasi infranchissable, qu’il faut traverser pour rejoindre la zone nono, espoir d’un ailleurs où règneraient entraide et amitié. Portés par un commun désir d'émancipation, ces animaux trouveront-ils un refuge pour leur joyeuse communauté musicale de bras cassés ?
Sur scène, deux marionnettistes et deux musicien·nes donnent vie à de drôles de bêtes aussi déglinguées qu’attachantes, en musique et en chansons. Avec humour et poésie, La zone nono nous rappelle que la solidarité rend possibles les plus beaux affranchissements.
