Hrádocké arborétum was established as a botanical park located in the High School of Forestry complex in Liptovský Hrádok by the end of the 19th century. The area is situated in the built-up area of the town and it is a very important part of the urban greenery. The area serves to students of forestry as a living study room of dendrology, and it enables to study ecological conditions and acclimatization of exotic woody plants in given conditions.
