Als unumgängliche Figur der Vokalmusik des 18. Jahrhunderts veredelt Händel die Stimme im Herzen der Neun Deutschen Arien, verkörpert von der funkelnden Schweizer Sopranistin Kathrin Hottiger. Cembalo und Violine stehen auch im Café Zimmermann mit wunderschönen Suiten und Sonaten im Vordergrund.
Die Neun Deutsche Arien wurden 16 Jahre nach seiner Ankunft in London komponiert und gehören zu den wenigen deutschen Texten, die der sächsische Komponist vertont hat. Nach seiner letzten Reise nach Deutschland, wo Händel sich von seiner Mutter verabschieden konnte, sind diese Lieder ein inniger Anflug auf seine Muttersprache. Eine Zeit, die in der Melancholie der Erinnerungen wiedergefunden wurde, weit entfernt von dem Grandiosen und Spektakulären, das er in seinen Opern und Oratorien liebt.
Begleitet von den talentierten Musikern des Café Zimmermann, berührt uns die Sopranistin Kathrin Hottiger mit ihrer authentischen Interpretation, so wie sie uns mit ihrer Sensibilität und Kraft fesselt. Zwischen den einzelnen Melodien sind die Instrumentalsätze zart vorhanden, die die Klänge des Cembalos und der Violine von Céline Frisch und Pablo Valetti hervorheben, die sich mit der Flöte, dem Cello und dem Theorbo unterhalten.

Composed 16 years after his arrival in London, the Neun Deutsche Arien are part of the rare German texts set to music by the Saxon composer. Back from his last trip to Germany, where Handel was able to say goodbye to his mother, these tunes are an intimate impulse towards his native language. A time found in the melancholy of memories, far from the grandiose and spectacular that he loves in his operas and oratorio.
Accompanied by the talented musicians of Café Zimmermann, soprano Kathrin Hottiger moves us with her authentic performance, as much as her sensitivity and power captivate us.
