Besuchen Sie eine ehemalige Hutmacherei, die zu einer Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst geworden ist
Von 1850 bis 1925 machte der Filzhut die Kapellerei in Albion berühmt. Im Hof der alten Hutmacherei, die heute in eine Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst umgewandelt wurde, steht ein gemauerter Kamin - letzter Zeuge dieser Zeit, als Albi von der Aktivität der Hutmacher schwärmte.
Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes wird der Filz in La Cheminée durch die Künstlerin Béatrix Chabannier wieder lebendig, die die ausdrucksstarken Möglichkeiten dieses Stoffes in einigen ihrer Kreationen erforscht.
Was ist Filz?
Es ist ein dichter und haltbarer Vliesstoff, der durch Pressen und Erhitzen von Wolle oder Borsten hergestellt wird. Aber warum und wie hat das Kaninchenhaar bei der Herstellung von Filzhüten das Fell des Bibers ersetzt?

Der Pelharòt, eine Figur des Volkserlebens
Früher ging der Pelharòt (auf okzitanisch), ein Wiederverwerter, durch die Dörfer, um Häute und alte Lappen zu kaufen. Die Kinder fürchteten ihn:
"Wenn du nicht satge, apelariai lo Pelharòt, und du trägst aus seiner Tasche!"
Er meldete sich zu den Rufen von:
"Pelharot! Pelharot! Hase-Pelar, Lebreud!"
Eine zärtliche und lebendige Erinnerung an diese vergessene Figur.
Parallelausstellung: Vor dem Traum/ Real
Vom 4. bis 28. September findet in der Galerie auch eine Kreuzausstellung zweier Künstlerinnen und Freundinnen statt, die zwei Visionen des Weiblichen in Resonanz miteinander beleuchten.

Visit an old hat shop that has become a contemporary art gallery
From 1850 to 1925, the felt hat made the fame of the Albigensian millinery. In the courtyard of the old hat shop, now transformed into a contemporary art gallery, a brick chimney remains—last witness of that time when Albi was buzzing with hatter activity.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, felt comes back to life in La Cheminée thanks to the artist Béatrix Chabannier, who explores the expressive possibilities of this fabric in some of her creations.
The felt, what is it?
It is a non-woven fabric, dense and durable, made by pressing and heating wool or hair fibers. But why and how did rabbit hair replace that of the beaver in the manufacture of felt hats?

The Pelharòt, popular figure of memory
In the past, the Pelharòt (in Occitan), a recycler before his time, traveled through villages to buy up rabbit skins and old rags. The children dreaded him:
"Si es pas satge, apelariai lo Pelharòt, e t t t t emix à dins son sac!"
It was announced with the cries of:
"Pelharòt! Pelharòt! Rabbit’s foot, leprosy’s foot!"
A tender and vivid evocation of this forgotten character.
Parallel exhibition: Before the dream / Real
From the 4th to the 28th of September, the gallery also hosts a cross exhibition of two artists and friends, around two visions of the feminine, in resonance with each other.

Visita un'antica cappelleria trasformata in galleria d'arte contemporanea
Dal 1850 al 1925, il cappello di feltro ha fatto la fama della cappelleria albigense. Nel cortile dell'antica cappelleria, oggi trasformata in galleria d'arte contemporanea, rimane un camino di mattoni - ultima testimonianza di quel periodo in cui Albi ronzava di attività dei cappellai.
In occasione delle Giornate europee del patrimonio, il feltro riprende vita a La Cheminée grazie all'artista Béatrix Chabannier, che esplora le possibilità espressive di questa stoffa in alcune delle sue creazioni.
Il pennarello, che cos'è?
È un tessuto non tessuto, denso e resistente, prodotto pressando e riscaldando fibre di lana o peli. Ma perché e come il pelo di coniglio ha sostituito quello del castoro nella fabbricazione dei cappelli di feltro?

Il Pelharòt, figura di memoria popolare
Un tempo, il Pelharòt (in occitano), riciclatore prima del tempo, percorreva i villaggi per ricomprare le pelli di coniglio e vecchi stracci. I bambini lo temevano:
"Se non sei pronto, lo Pelharòt ti porterà via dalla sua borsa!"
Si annunciava alle grida di:
"Pelharòt! Pelharòt! Peal di coniglio, peal di lebre!"
Una dolce e viva evocazione di questo personaggio dimenticato.
Mostra parallela: Prima del sogno/ Reale
Dal 4 al 28 settembre, la galleria ospita anche una mostra incrociata di due artisti e amiche, attorno a due visioni del femminile in risonanza l'una con l'altra.

Visitez une ancienne chapellerie devenue galerie d'art contemporain
De 1850 à 1925, le chapeau de feutre a fait la renommée de la chapellerie albigeoise. Dans la cour de l’ancienne chapellerie, aujourd’hui transformée en galerie d’art contemporain, une cheminée en brique subsiste — dernier témoin de cette époque où Albi bourdonnait de l’activité des chapeliers.
À l’occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine, le feutre reprend vie à La Cheminée grâce à l’artiste Béatrix Chabannier, qui explore les possibilités expressives de cette étoffe dans certaines de ses créations.
Le feutre, c’est quoi ?
C’est une étoffe non tissée, dense et durable, fabriquée en pressant et chauffant des fibres de laine ou de poils. Mais pourquoi et comment le poil de lapin a-t-il remplacé celui du castor dans la fabrication des chapeaux de feutre ?

Visite una antigua sombrerería convertida en galería de arte contemporáneo
De 1850 a 1925, el sombrero de fieltro hizo la fama de la sombrerería albigense. En el patio de la antigua sombrerería, hoy transformada en galería de arte contemporáneo, subsiste una chimenea de ladrillo - último testigo de aquella época cuando Albi zumbaba de la actividad de los sombrereros.
Con motivo de las Jornadas europeas del patrimonio, el fieltro cobra vida en La Cheminée gracias a la artista Béatrix Chabannier, que explora las posibilidades expresivas de este tejido en algunas de sus creaciones.
El rotulador, ¿qué es?
Es un tejido no tejido, denso y duradero, fabricado prensando y calentando fibras de lana o pelo. Pero ¿por qué y cómo el pelo de conejo ha sustituido al del castor en la fabricación de los sombreros de fieltro?

El Pelharòt, figura de memoria popular
Antiguamente, el Pelharòt (en occitano), reciclador antes de tiempo, recorría los pueblos para comprar pieles de conejos y viejos trapos. Los niños lo temían:
"Si no eres sádico, apelariai lo Pelharòt, te llevarà de su bolso!"
Se anunciaba a los gritos de:
"¡Pelharòt! ¡Pelharòt! ¡Peal de conejo, peal de lebre!"
Una evocación tierna y viva de este personaje olvidado.
Exposición paralela: Antes del sueño/ Real
Del 4 al 28 de septiembre, la galería acoge también una exposición cruzada de dos artistas y amigas, en torno a dos visiones del femenino, en resonancia entre sí.
