Das Zitat, das in allen Epochen üblich ist, wird in der Welt der zeitgenössischen Kunst ausgiebig genutzt und zeugt von dem viszeralen Bedürfnis, sich zu messen, meistens durch die Einberufung der Kunst eines anderen. Indem er eine kreative Spannung mit dem genannten Werk schafft, hebt der Künstler seine eigene Einzigartigkeit hervor, indem er den Vergleich provoziert. Die Kunst des Zitierens, Werke der Variation, Aneignung, Ausbeutung, Transformation, Integration von Motiven, Stilen und künstlerischen Genres, ruft das Gedächtnis hervor und erneuert die Erfahrung des Betrachters gegenüber den Werken. Diese Ausstellung ist das Ergebnis einer ersten Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Pôle Courbet und der Frac Franche-Comté und stellt eine sensible Brücke zwischen zeitgenössischer Kunst und antiker Kunst dar. Nach der punktuellen Auswahl des Zitats haben die Maler, Bildhauer, bildenden Künstler, Videografen, hier eine privilegierte und emotionale Beziehung mit dem Werk eines anderen geknüpft. Ihr Treffen beleuchtet einige Abweichungen von dem ursprünglichen Werk, insbesondere von Medium und Techniken, wodurch die Konventionen umgestellt und erneuert werden. Es entsteht ein einzigartiger Dialog durch die Zeitalter und die Künste.

Common practice in all eras, quotation is widely used in the world of contemporary art, testifying to the visceral need to measure oneself, most often by summoning the art of another. Establishing a creative tension with the work cited, the artist thus highlights his own singularity by provoking comparison. Acts of variation, appropriation, exploitation, transformation, incorporation of artistic motifs, styles and genres, the art of quotation appeals to memory, and renews the viewer’s own experience of works. The result of a first collaboration between the Pôle Courbet and the Frac Franche-Comté, this exhibition offers a sensitive bridge between contemporary and ancient art. Having made the punctual choice of the quotation, the painters, sculptors, plasticians, videographers, presented here have forged a privileged and affective relationship with the work of another. Their meeting highlights some discrepancies with the initial work, especially medium and techniques, thus upsetting and renewing conventions. A unique dialogue emerges through the ages and the arts.

Pratica corrente in tutte le epoche, la citazione è abbondantemente sfruttata nel mondo dell'arte contemporanea, testimoniando il bisogno viscerale di misurarsi, il più delle volte convocando l'arte di un altro. Instaurando una tensione creativa con l'opera citata, l'artista valorizza così la propria singolarità provocando il confronto. Atti di variazione, di appropriazione, di sfruttamento, di trasformazione, di incorporazione di motivi, di stili e di generi artistici, l'arte della citazione fa appello alla memoria e rinnova l'esperienza stessa dello spettatore di fronte alle opere. Frutto di una prima collaborazione tra il Polo Courbet e il Frac Franche-Comté, questa mostra offre un ponte sensibile tra l'arte contemporanea e l'arte antica. Avendo fatto la scelta puntuale della citazione, i pittori, scultori, plastici, videografi qui presentati hanno stretto un rapporto privilegiato e affettivo con l'opera di un altro. Il loro incontro mette in luce alcune differenze con l'opera iniziale, in particolare di medium e tecniche, spingendo e rinnovando così le convenzioni. Ne scaturisce un dialogo unico attraverso i secoli e le arti.

Pratique courante à toutes les époques, la citation est abondamment exploitée dans le monde de l’art contemporain, témoignant du besoin viscéral de se mesurer, le plus souvent en convoquant l’art d’un autre. Instaurant une tension créatrice avec l’œuvre citée, l’artiste met ainsi en valeur sa propre singularité en provoquant la comparaison. Actes de variation, d’appropriation, d’exploitation, de transformation, d’incorporation de motifs, de styles et de genres artistiques, l’art de la citation fait appel à la mémoire, et renouvelle l’expérience même du regardeur face aux œuvres.
Fruit d’une première collaboration entre le Pôle Courbet et le Frac Franche-Comté, cette exposition offre une passerelle sensible entre l’art contemporain et l’art ancien. Ayant fait le choix ponctuel de la citation, les peintres, sculpteurs, plasticiens, vidéastes, ici présentés ont noué une relation privilégiée et affective avec l’œuvre d’un autre. Leur réunion met en lumière certains écarts avec l’œuvre initiale, en particulier de medium et de techniques, bousculant et renouvelant ainsi les conventions. S’en dégage un dialogue unique à travers les âges et les arts.

Práctica corriente en todas las épocas, la cita se explota abundantemente en el mundo del arte contemporáneo, testimoniando la necesidad visceral de medirse, más a menudo convocando el arte de otro. Instaurando una tensión creativa con la obra citada, el artista pone de relieve su propia singularidad provocando la comparación. Actos de variación, apropiación, explotación, transformación, incorporación de motivos, estilos y géneros artísticos, el arte de la cita apela a la memoria, y renueva la experiencia misma del observador frente a las obras. Fruto de una primera colaboración entre el Polo Courbet y el Frac Franche-Comté, esta exposición ofrece una puerta sensible entre el arte contemporáneo y el arte antiguo. Habiendo hecho la elección puntual de la cita, los pintores, escultores, plásticos, videastas, aquí presentados, han establecido una relación privilegiada y afectiva con la obra de otro. Su reunión pone de relieve algunas desviaciones de la obra inicial, en particular de medios y técnicas, lo que altera y renueva las convenciones. Se desarrolla un diálogo único a través de las edades y las artes.
