For the 28th edition of the FILMAR Festival in Latin America, Belén de Dolores by Dolores Fonzi will be screened at Cinlux and the Cinémas du Grütli—with support from the Agenda 21 Office.

Belén by Dolores Fonzi
Argentina, 2025, Fiction, 105’
Arrested at the hospital following a miscarriage, Belén is tried for abortion and convicted of homicide. Supported by a feminist collective, she decides to fight alongside her lawyer, played by Dolores Fonzi, the film’s director and a renowned actress. Based on real events, this explosive case transformed an individual situation into a major political struggle for women’s rights in Argentina.

Arrêtée à l’hôpital à la suite d’une fausse couche, Belén est jugée pour avortement et condamnée pour homicide. Soutenue par un collectif féministe, elle décide alors de se battre aux côtés de son avocate, interprétée par Dolores Fonzi, réalisatrice du film et actrice de renom. Basée sur des faits réels, cette affaire explosive a transformé un cas individuel en une lutte politique majeure au service des droits des femmes en Argentine.
