This September 25 at 8:00 p.m., the legendary Franz Liszt Hall will host a major concert: **MOZART & CLEMENTI: The Concertos for Fortepiano.**
Far from the intimacy of salon music, this concert promises vibrant musical interplay and exceptional virtuosity, celebrating the musical duel between W. A. Mozart and M. Clementi.
For this programme, Encyclopédie will perform, on period instruments, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 13 and the celebrated No. 21, *Elvira Madigan*, as well as Clementi’s Concerto, Op. 30. Let yourself be carried away by this mosaic of colours and emotions, where the dialogue between orchestra and soloist-conductor brings back to life the creative turmoil of these illustrious composers. Their elegant style, characteristic of the Classical period, is both subtle and sublime.
The Encyclopédie ensemble will reveal the operatic accents woven into these concertos: the grand European opera of Mozart, and, in Clementi’s music, the style that foreshadows Rossini and Bellini. An unmissable evening for lovers of authentic classical music.
Florent Albrecht founded the ensemble in Geneva in 2020 and has established himself as a leading figure in the historically informed performance of music from the Enlightenment. Albrecht has forged a special connection with his audience and performers, all of whom are recognised figures on the European music scene. His approach, combining historical rigour with artistic freedom, has won unanimous acclaim from the international press, notably with his debut album, *Kindermusik – Leopold & Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart*, released by *harmonia mundi*.
