Die Plaine Saint-Denis, ein ehemaliges Obst- und Gemüseanbaugebiet in Paris, wurde im 19. Jahrhundert zu einer der großen industriellen Lungen ihrer Zeit, getragen vom Kanal und der Eisenbahn. Die Krisen der 1970er Jahre und die Standortverlagerungen haben dieses Gebiet tiefgreifend geschwächt, indem sie Brachland, ein stigmatisiertes Bild und städtische Brüche hinterlassen haben.
Seit der mit dem Stade de France im Jahr 1998 begonnenen und durch die Olympischen und Paralympischen Spiele 2024 beschleunigten Erneuerung erlebt die Ebene tiefgreifende Veränderungen. Doch weit davon entfernt, die Vergangenheit auszulöschen, stützen sich diese Veränderungen auf das, was noch bleibt: industrielle Hinterlassenschaft, umgestaltete alte Fabriken und das Gedächtnis der Arbeiter.

Former market gardening and vegetable garden of Paris, the Plaine Saint-Denis became, in the 19th century, one of the great industrial lungs of its time, carried by the canal and the railway. The crises of the 1970s and relocations deeply weakened this territory, leaving behind wastelands, a stigmatized image and urban fractures.
Since the revival begun with the Stade de France in 1998, then accelerated by the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Plaine has undergone profound transformations. But, far from erasing the past, these changes are based on what remains: industrial heritage, old converted factories and workers' memory.
From the Athletes' Village to the Orfèvrerie Christofle, via the Cité du cinéma and other industrial buildings, follow Patrick Bezzolato on a journey that invites you to observe what resists today and to understand how these legacies, sometimes weakened, participate in the urban, social, and cultural renewal of the territory.

Antica terra di orti e ortaggi di Parigi, la Plaine Saint-Denis è diventata, nel XIX secolo, uno dei grandi polmoni industriali del suo tempo, trainata dal canale e dalla ferrovia. Le crisi degli anni '70 e le delocalizzazioni hanno profondamente indebolito questo territorio, lasciando dietro di sé terreni incolti, un'immagine stigmatizzata e fratture urbane.
Dal rinnovamento iniziato con lo Stade de France nel 1998, poi accelerato dai Giochi olimpici e paraolimpici del 2024, la Plaine conosce profonde trasformazioni. Ma, lungi dall'cancellare il passato, queste trasformazioni si basano su ciò che resta: eredità industriale, vecchie fabbriche riconvertite e memoria operaia.
Dal Villaggio degli Atleti all'Oreficeria Christofle, passando per la Città del Cinema e altre architetture industriali, seguite Patrick Bezzolato alla scoperta di un percorso che invita a osservare ciò che resiste oggi e a capire come queste eredità, talvolta indeboliti, partecipano al rinnovamento urbano, sociale e culturale del territorio.

Les crises des années 1970 et les délocalisations ont profondément fragilisé ce territoire, laissant derrière elles des friches, une image stigmatisée et des fractures urbaines.
Depuis le renouveau amorcé avec le Stade de France en 1998, puis accéléré par les Jeux olympiques et paralympiques de 2024, la Plaine connaît de profondes transformations. Mais, loin d’effacer le passé, ces mutations s’appuient sur ce qui subsiste : héritage industriel, anciennes usines reconverties et mémoire ouvrière.

Las crisis de los años 1970 y las deslocalizaciones han fragilizado profundamente este territorio, dejando tras de sí desiertos, una imagen estigmatizada y fracturas urbanas.
