Richtung Norden! Gehen wir gemeinsam zur (Wieder-)Entdeckung von Bacalan, einem sich schnell verändernden Viertel, das zum zweitbeliebtesten Anziehungspunkt von Bordeaux geworden ist.
Das Umstellungsprojekt, das Anfang der 2000er Jahre begonnen wurde, hat die starke bacalanische Identität, die von den alten Industrien getragen wird, nicht ausgelöscht.
Um seine Geschichte zu verstehen, werden wir uns auf die Suche nach diesen industriellen und hafenbezogenen Überresten machen und uns damit beschäftigen, wie sie in die zeitgenössische Landschaft integriert wurden. (Rehabilitationsprojekte, Schaffung von kulturellen Orten, Nutzungsbereich, Bestellung von zeitgenössischen Kunstwerken...).
Die Erinnerungen, die Bacalan uns von seiner Vergangenheit hinterlässt, werden es uns ermöglichen, die Entwicklung des Viertels im Laufe der Zeit vom 16. bis zum 21. Jahrhundert zu erfassen.

Head north! Let’s go together to the (re)discovery of Bacalan, a neighborhood in full transformation that has become the second center of attraction of Bordeaux.
The reconversion project, initiated in the early 2000s, did not erase the strong Bacanal identity carried by the old industries.
To understand its history, we will look for these industrial and port remains, and we will examine how they have been integrated into the contemporary landscape. (rehabilitation projects, creation of cultural places, utility area, contemporary art commissions...).
The memories that Bacalan leaves us of his past will thus allow us to grasp the evolution of the district through time, from the 16th to the 21st century.

Verso nord! Andiamo insieme alla (ri)scoperta di Bacalan, quartiere in piena trasformazione diventato il secondo polo d'attrazione di Bordeaux.
Il progetto di riconversione, avviato all'inizio degli anni 2000, non ha cancellato la forte identità bacalanese portata dalle vecchie industrie.
Per comprendere la sua storia, ci metteremo alla ricerca di queste vestigia industriali e portuali, e ci interesseremo a come sono state integrate nel paesaggio contemporaneo (progetti di riabilitazione, creazione di luoghi culturali, zona di utilità, ordinazione di opere d'arte contemporanea...).
I ricordi che Bacalan ci lascia del suo passato ci permetteranno di cogliere l'evoluzione del quartiere nel tempo, dal XVI al XXI secolo.

Rumbo al norte! Vamos juntos al (re)descubrimiento de Bacalan, un barrio en plena transformación que se ha convertido en el segundo polo de atracción de Burdeos.
El proyecto de reconversión, iniciado a principios de los años 2000, no ha borrado la fuerte identidad bacalanesa sostenida por las antiguas industrias.
Para entender su historia, buscaremos esos vestigios industriales y portuarios, y nos interesaremos por la forma en que se han integrado al paisaje contemporáneo (proyectos de rehabilitación, creación de lugares culturales, zona de utilidad, encargo de obras de arte contemporáneo...).
Los recuerdos que Bacalan nos deja de su pasado nos permitirán captar la evolución del barrio a lo largo del tiempo, desde el siglo XVI hasta el siglo XXI.
