Der Wandteppich von Jean Lurçat, das Juwel des Causse
Diese beiden monumentalen Wandteppiche, die im Empfangssaal des Rathauses von Rocamadour präsentiert wurden, wurden der Gemeinde 1960 von Jean Lurçat geschenkt. Sie wurden speziell zur Verzierung des alten Rathauses geschaffen und in Aubusson vollständig von Hand gefertigt.
Diese textilen Werke stellen die Fauna und Flora der Causse dar.
Jean Lurçat (1892-1966), ein französischer Maler, Keramiker und Tapetendesigner, ist vor allem dafür bekannt, die Sprache der Tapisserie im 20. Jahrhundert grundlegend erneuert zu haben.

The tapestry of Jean Lurçat, jewel of the Causse
Presented in the reception room of the town hall of Rocamadour, these two monumental tapestries were offered to the commune by Jean Lurçat in 1960. Created especially to decorate the old town hall, they were entirely handmade in Aubusson.
These textile works represent the fauna and flora of the Causse.
Jean Lurçat (1892-1966), painter, ceramist and creator of French tapestries, is notably known for having profoundly renewed the language of tapestry in the 20th century.

Presentate nella sala ricevimenti del municipio di Rocamadour, queste due tappezzerie monumentali sono state offerte al comune da Jean Lurçat nel 1960. Create appositamente per ornare l'antico municipio, sono state interamente realizzate a mano ad Aubusson.
Queste opere tessili rappresentano la fauna e la flora del Causse.
Jean Lurçat (1892-1966), pittore, ceramista e creatore di arazzi francesi, è noto per aver profondamente rinnovato il linguaggio della tappezzeria nel XX secolo.

Présentées dans la salle de réception de l’hôtel de ville de Rocamadour, ces deux tapisseries monumentales ont été offertes à la commune par Jean Lurçat en 1960. Créées spécialement pour orner l’ancien hôtel de ville, elles ont été entièrement réalisées à la main à Aubusson.
