Besonders reizvoll ist der Gartenfriedhof wegen seines alten Baumbestandes und der historischen Grabstätten. Neben den kunsthistorisch interessanten Grabmalen wurden hier auch verschiedene bekannte Persönlichkeiten beigesetzt. So zB Charlotte Kestner, die Goethe inspirierte zur Figur der Lotte in "Die Leiden des jungen Werthers".
Viele Anwohner:innen schätzen das Gartendenkmal als Stadtteilpark, um dort spazieren zu gehen, die Mittagspause zu verbringen oder ihre Kinder auf den Spielplatz zu begleiten.

The garden cemetery is particularly attractive because of its old trees and historic burial grounds. In addition to the art-historically interesting tombs, there were also various well-known personalities buried. For example, Charlotte Kestner, who inspired Goethe to the character of Lotte in "The Sorrows of Young Werther".
