Zwischen August 2025 und Juli 2026 hat das Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives (Inrap) in Sermaize im Département Oise eine große antike Siedlung ausgegraben, die aus dem 1. Jahrhundert v. Chr. bis ins 3. Jahrhundert datiert wurde. Die Archäologen haben eine außergewöhnliche Werkstatt für die Herstellung von Keramiken entdeckt, in der die gesamte Produktionskette dokumentiert ist, von der Gewinnung des Tons über die Zubereitung, das Formen und das Backen bis hin zur Vermarktung der Keramik. Diese Ausgrabungsstätte, die auf einer Fläche von 20.000 m2 durchgeführt wird, wurde im Rahmen der zukünftigen Entwicklungen des Seine-Nord-Europa-Kanals durchgeführt.
Anlässlich der Europäischen Tage des Kulturerbes werden Louis Florin, der für die Operation verantwortlich ist, und Victor Viquesnel-Schlosser, ein Keramiker, im Rathaus von Sermaize den Fortschritt der Forschungen an dieser bemerkenswerten antiken Stätte vorstellen.

Between August 2025 and July 2026, the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP) excavated a vast ancient occupation, dating from the 1st century BC to the 3rd century AD, in Sermaize, in the Oise department. Archaeologists have uncovered an exceptional workshop for the production of ceramics, documenting the entire operation chain, from clay extraction to the marketing of pottery, including preparation, shaping and firing. This excavation project, carried out over an area of 20,000 m 2, was carried out as part of the future development of the Seine-North Europe Canal.
On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, Louis Florin, responsible for the operation, and Victor Viquesnel-Schlosser, ceramologist, will present at the town hall of Sermaize, the progress of research of this remarkable ancient site.

Tra agosto 2025 e luglio 2026, l'Istituto nazionale di ricerche archeologiche preventive (Inrap) ha scavato una vasta occupazione antica, datata dal I secolo a.C. al III secolo, a Sermaize, nell'Oise. Gli archeologi hanno scoperto un laboratorio di produzione di ceramiche eccezionale, documentando l'intera catena operatoria, dall'estrazione dell'argilla alla commercializzazione delle ceramiche, passando per la preparazione, la lavorazione e la cottura. Questo cantiere di scavo, condotto su una superficie di 20.000 m 2, è stato realizzato nell'ambito delle future modifiche del canale Seine-Nord Europe.
In occasione delle Giornate europee del patrimonio, Louis Florin, responsabile dell'operazione, e Victor Viquesnel-Schlosser, ceramologo, presenteranno al municipio di Sermaize l'avanzamento delle ricerche di questo sito antico notevole.

Entre août 2025 à juillet 2026, l’Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives (Inrap) a fouillé une vaste occupation antique, datée du Ier siècle avant notre ère au IIIe siècle, à Sermaize, dans l’Oise. Les archéologues ont mis au jour un atelier de production de céramiques exceptionnel, documentant l’ensemble de la chaîne opératoire, depuis l’extraction de l’argile jusqu’à la commercialisation des poteries, en passant par la préparation, le façonnage et la cuisson. Ce chantier de fouille, mené sur une surface de 20 000 m² a été réalisé dans le cadre des futurs aménagements du Canal Seine-Nord Europe.
À l'occasion des Journées européennes du patrimoine, Louis Florin, responsable de l'opération, et Victor Viquesnel-Schlosser, céramologue, présenteront, à la mairie de Sermaize, l'avancée des recherches de ce site antique remarquable.

Entre agosto de 2025 y julio de 2026, el Instituto nacional de investigaciones arqueológicas preventivas (Inrap) excavó una vasta ocupación antigua, que data del siglo I a. C. al siglo III, en Sermaize, en el departamento de Oise. Los arqueólogos han descubierto un taller de producción de cerámicas excepcional, documentando toda la cadena operatoria, desde la extracción de la arcilla hasta la comercialización de las cerámica, pasando por la preparación, el moldeado y la cocción. Esta obra de excavación, llevada a cabo en una superficie de 20.000 m 2, se realizó como parte de las futuras obras del canal Sena-Norte Europa.
Con motivo de las Jornadas Europeas del Patrimonio, Louis Florin, responsable de la operación, y Victor Viquesnel-Schlosser, ceramólogo, presentarán en el ayuntamiento de Sermaize el avance de las investigaciones de este sitio antiguo notable.
