Dieser alte Teich, der im Mittelalter durch ein ausgeklügeltes Entwässerungssystem getrocknet wurde, zeichnet eine erstaunliche Sternfigur. Aber hinter dieser einzigartigen Landschaft verbirgt sich eine spannende Geschichte von Einfallsreichtum, Veränderungen des Territoriums und engen Beziehungen zwischen den Gesellschaften und ihrer Umwelt.
Mediävist-Historiker und Spezialist für die Beziehungen zwischen Gesellschaften und Territorien, Jean-Loup Abbé lädt Sie ein, den Faden dieser außergewöhnlichen Geschichte zurückzuverfolgen. Von der Entstehung des Teiches bis zu seiner Trockenlegung, von den mittelalterlichen Anlagen bis hin zu den heutigen Landschaften wird er uns zeigen, wie die Menschen dieses Gebiet im Laufe der Jahrhunderte geprägt haben.
Jean-Loup Abbé ist Honorarprofessor der Universität Toulouse-Jean Jaurès und assoziiertes Mitglied des UMR 5608 TRACES. Er ist Autor von Arbeiten und Veröffentlichungen über die Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft des mittelalterlichen Languedoc, insbesondere über die Entwicklung und den Wandel des städtischen und ländlichen Raums sowie über Steuerquellen.

Visible from the oppidum of Ensérune, the pond of Montady offers a landscape as spectacular as intriguing. This ancient pond, dried up in the Middle Ages thanks to an ingenious drainage system, draws a surprising star-shaped figure. But behind this singular landscape lies an exciting history, made of ingenuity, transformations of the territory and close relationships between societies and their environment.
A medieval historian and specialist in the relations between societies and territories, Jean-Loup Abbé invites you to follow the thread of this exceptional history. From the formation of the pond to its drying, from medieval arrangements to the landscapes we know today, he will show us how men have shaped this territory over the centuries.
Jean-Loup Abbé is an honorary professor at the University of Toulouse-Jean Jaurès and an associate member of UMR 5608 TRACES. He is the author of works and publications on the economy and society of medieval Languedoc, in particular on developments and transformations of urban and rural space, as well as tax sources.

Storico medievalista e specialista delle relazioni tra le società e i territori, Jean-Loup Abbé vi invita a ripercorrere questa storia eccezionale. Dalla formazione dello stagno al suo prosciugamento, dagli allestimenti medievali ai paesaggi che conosciamo oggi, ci farà scoprire come gli uomini hanno plasmato questo territorio nel corso dei secoli.
Jean-Loup Abbé è professore onorario dell'università di Tolosa-Jean Jaurès e membro associato dell'UMR 5608 TRACES. È autore di lavori e pubblicazioni sull'economia e la società della Linguadoca medievale, in particolare sulle modifiche e trasformazioni dello spazio urbano e rurale, nonché sulle fonti fiscali.
