Artist biographies
Jeanne Lécuyer is a flutist, educator, and music therapist. Trained at the Rio de Janeiro Conservatory, the École Normale de Musique de Paris, and the Versailles Regional Conservatory—where she was awarded a gold medal in 1989—she has explored classical repertoire as well as contemporary music, musical theater, clowning, and Brazilian music. From 1985 to 2003, she led the Prokofiev Quintet and created all of its arrangements, which resulted in two albums. A state-certified flute teacher since 1990, she has been teaching for thirty-five years and has also specialized in music therapy and sound massage. Today, she works with children with disabilities, the elderly, and vulnerable populations, while leading music therapy and sound therapy workshops in both individual and group sessions.
Lara Lemmelet is a visual artist who graduated from the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Genève, where she studied from 2000 to 2005. She lives and works in Geneva, in a studio she shares with the artist Rose-Anne Vermersch. Her practice, guided above all by gesture and intuition, prioritizes forms, colors, and materials over language. Inspired by everyday objects, love stories, symbols, children’s drawings, and art brut, she develops a sensitive universe where ordinary collections and fragile materials become the starting point for poetic and unique images. I think only with my hands, and their thoughts are completely disorganized.
A multifaceted artist with a passion for sound, Viva Sanchez Reinoso produces shows, concerts, and performances that blend classical repertoire, improvised music, and multidisciplinary creation. She has maintained a passion for the music of Johann Sebastian Bach for several years, is actively involved in contemporary music and composition, and practices improvisation and composition while seeking new sounds across aesthetic fields as varied as possible. She performs in Switzerland, France, Germany, Canada, Argentina, South Africa, Russia, Austria, Cyprus, Belgium, and the Netherlands, and these professional trips allow her to discover the world and diverse cultures, bringing back in her suitcases ideas, sensations, questions, and a heightened sense of curiosity.
“Sound Trail” workshop from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. for up to 15 participants at a cost of 15 CHF
The “Sound Trail” experience Jeanne offers is an invitation to paint or draw—while listening to music—on the theme of freedom. The goal is to explore how the shared listening experience will move through you, inspiring your hands to move and guiding your choice of colors. Materials are provided, and you’ll also have access to the 5:00 PM performance featuring Jeanne, Lara, and Viva.
