"Es ist eine sehr archaische Welt, in die ich Sie mitnehmen möchte, um kleine Lebewesen zu entdecken, die mich seit langem faszinieren, die Welt der Flechten und in jüngerer Zeit die der Blobs. Sie investierten meine Phantasie und luden mich mit ihren komplexen und fast ewigen Formen, Qualitäten und Naturen ein, die Werke zu schaffen, die ich an diesem Ort präsentiere.
Die Flechten sollen 450 Millionen Jahre alt sein, sie bleiben fast unbemerkt, sie existieren dank der Kombination eines Pilzes und einer Alge, es ist diese symbiotische Kombination, die es ihnen ermöglicht, sowohl in den trockenen Wüsten als auch in Sibirien widerstandsfähig zu sein. Sie wachsen sehr langsam, leben wenig, sind Bioindikatoren der Verschmutzung. Sind sie nicht wahre Propheten, die uns zur Nüchternheit führen?
Was den Blob betrifft, der weder ein Tier noch eine Pflanze oder ein Pilz ist, sondern ein einzelliges Wesen, das sich bewegen, ernähren und sich erinnern kann, obwohl es kein Gehirn hat. Er wäre vor den Dinosauriern geboren! Faszinierend!
Ich glaube an diese Formel des Dichters Francis Ponge: «Die Funktion des Künstlers ist sehr klar, er muss ein Atelier eröffnen und die Welt in Fragmenten reparieren, wie er kommt.»

'It is in a very archaic world that I would like to take you, to the discovery of small living beings, which have fascinated me for a long time, the world of lichens, and more recently that of blobs. They invested my imagination and invited me, by their forms, their qualities and their complex and almost eternal natures, to create the works that I present in this place.
Lichens are thought to be 450 million years old, almost unnoticed, they exist thanks to the association of a fungus and an alga, it is this symbiotic association that allows them to be resistant in arid deserts as well as in Siberia. They grow very slowly, live very little, are bio indicators of pollution. Would they not be true prophets to guide us to sobriety?
As for the blob, which is neither an animal, nor a plant, nor a fungus but a unicellular being, which is able to move, to feed, to remember when it has no brain. He would have seen the day before the dinosaurs! Fascinating!
I believe in the words of the poet Francis Ponge: «the function of the artist is very clear, he must open a workshop and take in repair the world, in fragments, as it comes to him.»

"È in un mondo molto arcaico che vorrei portarvi, alla scoperta di piccoli esseri viventi, che mi affascinano da molto tempo, il mondo dei licheni, e più recentemente quello dei blob. Hanno investito la mia immaginazione e mi hanno invitato, con le loro forme, qualità e nature complesse e quasi eterne, a creare le opere che presento in questo luogo.
I licheni risalirebbero a 450 milioni di anni fa, passano quasi inosservati, esistono grazie all'associazione di un fungo e di un'alga, è questa associazione simbiotica che permette loro di essere resistenti sia nei deserti aridi che in Siberia. Crescono molto lentamente, vivono poco, sono bioindicatori dell'inquinamento. Non sarebbero dei veri profeti per guidarci verso la sobrietà?
Quanto al blob, che non è né un animale, né un vegetale, né un fungo ma un essere unicellulare, che è capace di muoversi, di nutrirsi, di ricordare quando non ha cervello. Sarebbe nato prima dei dinosauri! Affascinante!
Credo a questa formula del poeta Francis Ponge: «la funzione dell'artista è molto chiara, deve aprire un laboratorio e prendere in riparazione il mondo, a frammenti, come gli viene. »

"C’est dans un monde très archaïque que je souhaiterais vous emmener, à la découverte de petits êtres vivants, qui me fascinent depuis longtemps, le monde des lichens, et plus récemment celui des blobs. Ils ont investi mon imaginaire et m’ont invitée, par leurs formes, leurs qualités et leurs natures complexes et presque éternelles, à créer les œuvres que je présente dans ce lieu.
Les lichens remonteraient à 450 millions d’années, ils passent presque inaperçus, ils existent grâce à l’association d’un champignon et d’une algue, c’est cette association symbiotique qui leur permet d’être résistant dans les déserts arides aussi bien qu’en Sibérie. Ils croissent très lentement, vivent de peu, sont des bio indicateurs de la pollution. Ne seraient-ils pas de véritables prophètes pour nous guider vers la sobriété ?
Quant au blob, qui n’est ni un animal, ni un végétal, ni un champignon mais un être unicellulaire, qui est capable de se déplacer, de se nourrir, de se souvenir alors qu’il n’a pas de cerveau. Il aurait vu le jour avant les dinosaures ! Fascinant !

Invirtieron mi imaginación y me invitaron, por sus formas, sus cualidades y sus naturalezas complejas y casi eternas, a crear las obras que presento en este lugar.
Los líquenes se remontan a 450 millones de años, pasan casi inadvertidos, existen gracias a la asociación de un hongo y una alga, es esta asociación simbiótica que les permite ser resistentes en los desiertos áridos tanto como en Siberia. Crecen muy lentamente, viven poco, son bio indicadores de contaminación. ¿No serían profetas verdaderos para guiarnos hacia la sobriedad?
En cuanto al blob, que no es un animal, ni un vegetal, ni un hongo sino un ser unicelular, que es capaz de moverse, de alimentarse, de recordar cuando no tiene cerebro. ¡Habría nacido antes de los dinosaurios! ¡Fascinante!
